"This is perfection! Sharing this lake home with two other families. We paddle on the glass- like lake first thing in the morning, then enjoy our coffee from the upper deck. Swim, paddle, swim, nap or read in the hammock... Repeat. Kids never even notice they have stepped back in time with no TV or gaming systems. When we want to step outside of our piece of paradise there are long walks around the bays on quiet roads, we hiked Piper Trail up Chocorua with the bigger kids (strenuous, 40 minutes north) and Boulder Loop (easy, 70 minutes north) with the younger ones followed by a dip in Kangamangus under the covered bridge,... rewarded with a BBQ at Smoke House! At night we usually grill even though the kitchen is a large eat-in kitchen fully stocked, and cook s'mores in the beach fire pit! The canoes and rowboat were a nice addition to our paddle boards;). Clean, open floor plan and room for all of us comfortably! Already booked for next year!"

  • Exactly as expected

"The owner was very easy to work with and everything was exactly as described. It is a very short distance from the Weirs (steep hill on the way back if walking, but a great workout). Also a short drive to other area attractions."

  • Our 3rd stay and it was fantastic as usual...

"This is one of the most perfect spots on the lake with over 200 feet of frontage and it's own private beach. We have stayed 3 times and enjoyed the beach, dock, perch and fires by the chiminea at night. There is a store near by if you need anything (extra ice) and also some nice spots in town to go to. We had the opportunity to meet and chat with Bryan on this trip and he filled us in on some of the history of the cabin that we hadn't heard before. Wendy and Bryan are both fantastic to deal with. I'm afraid to tell too many people about this place because I want to make sure that there is always availability for our family. : ) P.S. Don't forget to sign the guest book!"

  • Well-equipped and comfortable visit

"Two families of four headed north for some skiing and relaxation over February break. Unfortunately, most of us ended up too sick for skiing all day and into the night. So, we spent more time at the house, playing games, eating food and hanging out than we expected. We were very impressed with how well stocked everything was and how every detail was covered. The location was great, an easy drive from the metro west suburbs of Boston, and felt like a true getaway. The kids enjoyed exploring the yard and we enjoyed a guided winter walk at Squam Lake. We were so grateful for the convenient and comfortable home base and would certainly like to return sometime when we are healthier."
