  • A great waterfront and an architect's house....what could be better?

"A great waterfront and an architect’s house…..what could be better? This home is a combination of elegance, comfort, and ingenious use of space. There are multiple gathering spots to afford simultaneous puzzle construction and a game of Risk in the family room, enjoy a cup or coffee (or a margarita) in the spacious kitchen or comfortable outdoor space beyond the three sets of French doors, or nap under the overhead fans in the hurricane lamp-lit screened-in porch. We became fascinated with finding all of the space efficiencies in the home including the in-island microwave drawer, the tucked away mixing bowl, and an entire closet of cookware. The light-flooded kitchen worthy of being a Food Network set easily seats 10 (we are 2 families of 4 and grandparents) and inspired meals with the cast-iron skillet (blueberry and peach cobbler) and array of cookware. The light and airy bedrooms are all upstairs and cozy; the master suite is uncommonly posh…elegantly luxurious. Outdoors, artistry is present with a wrought iron railing attached to the boulders to assist water entry via stone steps into the lake. There is colorful landscaping, a yard to throw a football and a new u-shaped dock. The navigation of docking takes some skill but is clearly marked in the owner home manual. There are multiple kayaks, life-jackets as well as water skis and a tow rope so you don’t have to rent those along with a motor boat. Owners, Cathy and Denny, clearly have a passion for the outdoors with a hiking/biking library (efficiently stored by the fireplace), and a love of family and good times. They are immediately responsive to questions and the home owner’s manual is full of local tips. I hesitate to share this gem, but there is no better spot to rejuvenate and connect with friends and family---just don’t take our week!"

  • Great location / quiet but still close to Wiers

"Very nice villa, secluded but still close to Weirs Beach. There is a shared access to the Lake a couple mins walk away. Could sleep 8 Adults and 6 or more kids easy. Loft BR area has full bath. One thing to note is the loft is accessed by spiral staircase that takes a little getting used to (no issue put the younger part of your crew up there 😀). Three BR's on main floor share full bath. Very large deck / great for sittin' and talkin' while you Griil some steaks in the evening. Large open living / dining and kitchen area. Great L shaped couch in the TV area. Wifi & TV worked great (good cable selection). Neighbors are very nice, felt like we were part of neighborhood 😀😀. We were there for Laconia Bike Week / close to Wiers but just far enough away to not get caught up in the traffic snarl the cintinues to build as the week wears on. We enjoyed slipping to Wiers at our leasure then ride too. We could also ride a couple routes that avoid the hustle and bustle of Wiers if we wanted. The riding near Laconia is outstanding - great twisties, small villages along the way - leisurely roll through very scenic vistas, pretty much any style riding you could wish for, including a challenging ride up Mt Washington if the winds and weather allows. Also close enough to the Maine coast for a Lobster or two. We highly recommend this "jewel" of a rental to anyone, in any season (I am sure that the Fall Colors would be just WOW)..."

  • Great Family Vacation Location

"My husband and I recently sold our lake house on Winter Harbor in Wolfeboro and we missed the Lake so much we had to return to the area for an early autumn vacation. The charming home reminded us of our former summer home and we felt so comfortable. Our children and grandchildren joined us for the weekend. Despite the weather, we all enjoyed kayaking, taking boat trips around the lake, and even swimming in October! A very special stay that our family will remember fondly."

  • Amazing place for getting away and making new memories

"I rented this beautiful house so that my friends and I could spend the weekend ice fishing and celebrate my birthday. We had a great time at the lake. The house was very clean and we had everything we needed. Tom sent me detailed instructions prior to our stay and was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. He even gave me tips about where to buy license for ice fishing and provided us with an auger for making holes through the ice."
