  • A perfect vacation spot!

"We've stayed at this lakehouse 2 years in a row, for two weeks each time. The house is immaculate but comfortable, and very well appointed. The lakefront property is gorgeous, and the owners were always very responsive. They live nearby and were there to greet us upon our arrival. They clearly love this place and great care is taken to make guests as comfortable as possible. There is one master bedroom, with the other set up with 4 bunk beds and a foldout couch, with plenty of bed linens and towels. The hot outdoor shower is great! Internet is a little erratic but serviceable. If you wish to watch tv be sure to bring an internet accessible device with HDMI input. There is, however a DVD player, and Redbox not far away at the grocery store. The house is very convenient to groceries, pharmacy, liquor and hardware stores. It's also an easy drive to the seacoast. The lake is very quiet in the mornings and evenings, with some boat traffic in the afternoons. Nights are quiet, making it possible to fall asleep to the sound of gentle waves on the beach, and if you're lucky, the cry of the loons. We can't say enough about this little piece of paradise!"

  • Great for large groups

"We had a great family getaway on Lake Ossipee! The house was perfect for our family which included 6 children who loved the bunk room! Best parts of renting this house include the access to the golf cart for bringing your stuff to the beach, the proximity to the lake, and the large size with private sleeping accommodations for a group. (to get an idea of sleeping arrangements: three rooms each offer 1 queen or full bed, two basement rooms have 2 bunk beds each and each includes one double over single bunk, plus couches, and one twin bed open in the loft area which we did not use) We had fun exploring along the shallow river. We loved the large deck and grill, and the screened porch was a good place to eat smores and get away from the mosquitos. Indian Mound was great for golf though a bit pricey. We loved nearby Yankee Smokehouse, Hobb's, Pizza Barn, and OMG Ice Cream, but it was nice to have a full kitchen to cook. Check in to local rentals, we found the pontoon boats and paddle boards well worth it to enjoy the lake! Definitely call the town to get directions on trash disposal as there is no pick up. Overall a great stay for a big group."

  • Nice house, great week

"We rented in July and really enjoyed staying here. Really nice house and great game room. Nice location on lake and all the amenities you need. House was well stocked with everything you need. Don't forget your own sheets and towels; There are none at the house. Hannafords and Job Lot just 10 minutes away. Lake was a bit disappointing if you like to boat. We rented a pontoon and found the lake was small, stumpy, rocky, and shallow. The water wasn't as clear as I thought it would be. Lots of seating outside for everyone and shade in the yard. Overall, we loved it! Owner was very responsive and great to work with."
