  • Excellent Location, Everything we needed and more

"We've been coming to HB for 20 years. This was one of our best stays. Jeff and Judi made sure we had everything we needed. The space is clean, cool, well-equipped, and in the perfect location. We watched the fireworks from the deck on Wednesday and I fished under the Hampton-Seabrook bridge daily pulling in some very nice striped bass. We had an excellent time. We really enjoyed the GOAT restaurant and bar just 2 blocks over. The place is an incredible value. Don't hesitate. Thanks very much."

  • Location, location, location - great 3 bedroom apartment above an older home.

"Great apartment - loved the sloped ceilings and the hallway cedar shower with a skylight. Three female friends shared a great 5 days. Sightseeing midmorning til late afternoon. Great place to start our day with breakfast and coffee then return to relax before dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed the view and sound of the ocean. Balconies are great and would have used more but rain followed us from Oregon. Close enough to walk to restaurants and shopping. Appreciated the strong wifi signal. Thank you for a great mini vacation!"

  • I wish I could live there, day in day out….

"It had been an exhausting day. I had missed my first flight from San Francisco to Boston (8a.m.), due to traffic tie-ups. Fortunately, another plane left four hours later. By the time I arrived in Boston, my waiting family had all gone to bed and I would not be seeing them that day. It was raining in Boston, I picked up my rental and began the trip up to Exeter. It was 11p.m. I was exhausted and bleary eyed and I don't know if this ever happens to anyone else, but my GPS got me lost and at 12:30 a.m., I was wandering around in the pouring black no more than a block away from my rental, without knowing. When I finally found the little house (with lights a-blazing and pumpkins lining the entry) I was near weeping. I sloshed to the door with all my trappings, opened it and walked in. This little house was more than I had imagined! It felt like home the instant I walked in. It could not have been nicer if there had been a warm cup of your favorite drink and a cozy fireplace blazing. I lingered over every sweet space, taking in all the special touches my hostess had lovingly added - from the antique blue bottles and blue stripped clay ware on the shelves in the kitchen, to the cozy living room which during the daylight hours would be filled with light and endless scenes of New England Autumn beauty, to my bedroom (lucky me!!!) with soft beautiful linens and lovely antiques filling the room. I fell asleep quickly under down comforter, to the continuing sound of rain. I "played house" for a week in this charming place. Hopi was the perfect hostess who, unfortunately I never saw, but spoke to daily in answer to all my needs. The little house was spotless, charming with sophisticated accents while still maintaining a cottage feel , had all the basics for simple living, was close to shopping and the darling town of Exeter and most importantly, a five minute drive to my grandchildren. I did not want to leave. Everyone who came to the house, from young to old, would happily and excitedly look through everything and settle in their favorite place. I loved it. If granted opportunity, I will be going back several times a year to my little cottage home, in Exeter New Hampshire. Thank you VRBO and thank you Hopi, for this wonderful experience!
