  • A Home with Views like no other!!!

"For our family vacation this year we needed space for 14 of us and this house worked out perfectly. The house is truly amazing and everywhere you look there was something unique that caught your eye. And then there are the views!! Yes, the driveway was quite interesting but once you reached the top you were rewarded with the most amazing view of the Presidential Range and the landscaping and gardens were just spectacular. The owners were extremely responsive to any questions and were quick to greet us and welcome us upon our arrival. They offered many suggestions with things to do, places to hike, restaurant suggestions etc. even though we chose to eat in at the house for all our meals. The kitchen is very spacious and had everything we needed to prepare meals for all of us. We also enjoyed each night by the fire pit and spent most of our time outside playing yard games and just enjoying nature at it's best. Thanks to the owners for sharing this truly unique and spectacular home. We would highly recommend it for anyone looking for peace and quiet and a place to relax."

  • We love it here...

"So accommodating - everything is thought of. We only stayed a week this year, but it was a wonderful restful week. Easy to get around is right. Our old boy, Santana - shephard, goes in and out of the water at will. Stuff to do, and not to do. Internet access was excellent. and I think we finally got our grocery set up right this year! With our dog, we don't like to travel away from the Lake, but there are lots of scenic routes, and little spots to head out to. We stuck with White Market this year, bringing most of our own food in from home. That worked out fine. Thank you, Loretta and Jeff!"

  • All the comforts of home

"I'd stay at Kilburn Place again in a heart beat. The owners were very responsive and accommodating. The listing description was accurate. The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed air conditioning in the bedroom (with king size bed) our first night as it was a hot one. We ate breatfasts each morning in the fully equipped kitchen. There was plenty of room for our trailer in the yard. The paved u-shaped driveway made getting in and out easy. There were renters staying on the floor above us (Kilburn Place Unit #2 - ID 624547). We could hear them moving around. It wasn't a problem, just something to expect when you stay. The location was perfect. A 15 minute stroll along the river and over a covered bridge brought us to downtown's shops and restruarants. We enjoyed the Chang Thai Cafe so much, we ate dinner there twice. Polly's Pancake Parlor was a 20 minute drive. Hiking for all skill levels in Franconia Notch was a beautiful 20 - 30 minute drive. The property was centrally located for many scenic drives through New Hampshire's White Mountains and Vermont's scenic byway (Route 5). I'd recommend Kilburn Place to family and friends. I look forward to returning."

  • Absolutely perfect vacation home!

"Our family of seven spent four nights at this lovely vacation home and our only complaint was it wasn't enough time to enjoy everything it had to offer! Our 82 year old Dad loved relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view. The grandkids (ages 7 & 9) had a blast fishing and the nearby beach and clubhouse entertained them for hours. At night we marveled at the stars and lightning bugs and after sleeping soundly we all woke up to the peaceful sounds of birds. Everyone had plenty of space and the kitchen was incredibly well equipped with everything we needed to make meals and snacks. (Stock up at the Shaw's in Littleton, NH) On the one day it rained we all played board games and the kids found Calvin & Hobbes books in the children's room so everyone was relaxed and cozy. Liz was a wonderful host in answering emails prior to our visit and available to answer questions via phone. When it was time to leave the entire family only needed to ask her one question, "is it too early to book for next year?""
