  • Just right for our group !

"We have been renting up in the Waterville Estates for the past 7 years. This was our first stay at the Hegarty house and we found it to be just right for our group of (old) college buddies. There is plenty of room and everyone felt warm and comfortable. The bedrooms and bathrooms are well kept. The cable TV is of good quality (we watched the Super Bowl) and the WiFi worked flawlessly....not that we were indoors all that much. Making the arrangements with Erin was easy and the price was perfect for our budget. We all agreed that we would like to come back next year. Thanks Erin."

  • Excellent House For Large Groups In Great Location!!

"I went on a girls' trip with 15 of my girlfriends and this house fit the bill!! Teena, the owner, is wonderful! She'll answer all of your questions in a very timely manner...and NO question is too dumb. She gives you all kinds of information about the house and about the area so you are fully armed with tons of knowledge!! The house is great...PLENTY of room for big groups. The beds were very comfy and the three bathrooms perfect for 15 girls. Lots of space to spread out downstairs. The big dining room table was perfect for all of us to eat and play games! My only complaint would be how small the kitchen is. If you are planning on cooking for large groups, it's not an easy task as you can only comfortably fit one-two people in the kitchen at a time. Other than that, the house is perfect! The pool is don't realize how big it is until you see it in person. The house is in a nice quiet area but only 5 minutes from any activities! We ended up having great weather for NH in March and spent a lot of time outside. The back yard is secluded and had a great big picnic table where we would sit and play games. All in all, you will not be disappointed in renting the Four Seasons Lodge! We had a great time!!!"

  • Great space for large group at excellent location

"This home was the perfect fit for our group. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved being able to cook, lie on the porch to star gaze, and the easy access to Echo lake, Diana's bath, and Kancamangus highway. Definitely would stay here again!"

  • Absolutely Spectacular!

"My husband and I stayed at the mountain house for three nights in February. It was a last minute decision to get away, and Kevin (the owner) and Lou (the caretaker) were great to work with. The transaction was handled quickly and seamlessly. We called Lou when we were getting close to the address, and he met us there. It was awesome to have someone introduce us to the house in person. Everything you could possibly want or need was there! Dry firewood and kindling, blankets and quilts, lots of pillows, books and magazines, games and puzzles, area information, wifi, flashlights and candles if needed, paper products, laundry detergent and ALL of the kitchen necessities... The house was clean, well-maintained, nicely decorated, cozy and comfortable. There is the driveway... We live in New Hampshire and of course read the reviews, so we were totally prepared. It has been such a mild winter that the surface of the driveway was mostly clear. We had absolutely no problem in our AWD SUV, but it did kind of take our breath away! We know from experience, though, that you have to go UP to get those kinds of views. Those views, whether from the house, deck, screened porch or even the driveway, were absolutely spectacular! Over 180 degrees of mountaintops, and the scenes change with the time of day and the weather. We had some clouds and the peaks disappeared, then it snowed and covered everything in a fresh blanket of white and the mountains reappeared. Sunsets were amazing; everything turned pink! We went mainly for the peace and quiet. We wanted to unplug and unwind, and that's exactly what we did! In front of the ENORMOUS fireplace was our favorite spot when the mountains were hiding or it was dark. The house has radiant floor heating, so even though we had one single digit night, we were walking around in our bare feet. It was so private, quiet and still we were thrilled. The entire area is wild and beautiful. We saw the tracks of 5 or 6 different kinds of animals, and one evening when we switched on the outdoor spotlight to watch it snow, a family of raccoons looked in at us kind of annoyed that we disturbed them! Late one morning we saw a bald eagle; breathtakingly beautiful! We definitely recommend the property and will be returning ourselves to this mountaintop treasure. Thanks for sharing, Kevin, and thanks for helping us out, Lou!"
