  • Nice house, great week

"We rented in July and really enjoyed staying here. Really nice house and great game room. Nice location on lake and all the amenities you need. House was well stocked with everything you need. Don't forget your own sheets and towels; There are none at the house. Hannafords and Job Lot just 10 minutes away. Lake was a bit disappointing if you like to boat. We rented a pontoon and found the lake was small, stumpy, rocky, and shallow. The water wasn't as clear as I thought it would be. Lots of seating outside for everyone and shade in the yard. Overall, we loved it! Owner was very responsive and great to work with."

  • Very nice.

"Pros; Gorgeous well equipped house. Lovely beach and cove. Wonderful private yard. Amazing master suite! Also, the master suite has a walk in closet that is the size of a small room, with a large window. It worked perfectly as a bedroom for my 5 year old twins to sleep on air mattresses! We had planned to put them on one of the pull out couches, but it was much better for them to have their own private room. Also, the "loft bedroom" is a full bedroom with a window and door and two beds!-I wasn't clear about that from the description. So really, it's a four bedroom (not including the walk in closet). Cons; The one downstairs bathroom is off the downstairs bedroom. So if someone is staying down there and wants any privacy everyone else needs to go upstairs whenever they need to use the bathroom. The "private, go away" sign as you travel down the driveway to the house is rather startling-and some of the artwork and decorations throughout the house seemed rather personal for a rental. Other than that the only complaint is that the master bed has a middle leg that sticks out from the bed and me and my husband stubbed our toes on it repeatedly!"

  • Lakeside Paradise

"With vacation rentals, you never truly know what you'll find until you get there-- this one is absolutely perfect. The pictures really don't do it justice. As soon as you get here it just feels like home. We left wishing it were our family retreat instead of just renting it. The lake is so beautiful-- we spent several hours every day swimming out to the platform, fishing, kayaking, and just enjoying the view. The screened in porch is a great spot for watching the sunset and just relaxing completely bug free. We hardly ever left the property other than to get groceries, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Just note that the AC unit in the bunk room is not quite as effective as I'd like-- it struggled to keep the temperature down to 78 with all the afternoon sun. Still, lovely house and we will be staying here again next year as long as circumstances allow!"

  • Sure beats a hotel

"Two of us spent two nights. The unit has been renovated with a personal touch which made us feel more at a home than in a hotel. We stay at the Lodge quite often and Rob's place has raised the bar! Lincoln is a great town to explore on foot while being a great base camp to hike, ski, climb and enjoy the White Mountains. We'll be back!"
