  • Great stay at a great price!

"The condo was very clean and had all the amenities needed for a rental. The interior is slightly dated, but the beds and furniture were very comfortable. We loved the beautiful view the condo had to offer of the mountains. You can even see the great view right from the couch out the window. The river access was great and we had so much fun with our kids going down to skip rocks and take pictures. The balcony is very big and very nice to sit out there with a nice big table and chairs. Rob was very good to work with and very accommodating. For the incredible rates and the cleanliness and the view I give this rental five stars!"

  • Perfectly situated on a quiet, beautiful island.

"16 Whortleberry is comfy and spacious with just the right amount of accoutrements: Wifi, A/C, washer/dryer if needed, movies, and a local tv station for news (if you even want to know...). The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals, including a Whortleberry pie for dessert! Not a fancy kitchen, but who wants to spend time in there with the loons calling right in front of you! The front porch is perfect, but needs some nice Adirondack chairs our some cushioned, comfy furniture for lounging and curling up with your favorite book. We didn't use the boats, kayaks and a canoes available, as we have a pleasure craft and explored the lake with it. If you follow the lake path tucked behind the canoe, there's a footbridge and a perfect little sandy beach with enough room for your beach chair and your feet soaking in the warm July water. Would we go back? We're already talking about next year. A resounding yes from humans and canine alike."

  • Perfect Ski House

"I have rented this house for ski season for the past five years, with two other families. We all have kids and we ski at Mount Sunapee. We pretty much spent every weekend and vacation week up at the lake, and we have unbelievably good memories of the entire time. It's convenient (11 minutes) to the mountain, and really an ideal ski house-- complete with a mud room for boots, etc. The house is very well finished-- lots of great woodwork, and solidly constructed. Heating costs were quite reasonable. The house is great for kids, with a large basement with TV, TT and fooseball. The kitchen is fabulous-- each family took turns cooking, and we pretty much ate in every Saturday night and then sat in front of the fire. The view of the lake is amazing, and on occasion I've even cross country skied across the lake to the mountain... and when there's no snow, you can ice-skate off the dock! It's large enough for two or three families to all be there together. The owner (Peter) is fantastic, and was always very responsive for any issues that arose. In short, for a large ski house in Sunapee, you cannot do better. This place is amazing."

  • A Tradition of Great Visits to Tranquility

"For the fifth consecutive summer, we have rented Tranquility Lodge for our family (Lauren and I are the grandparents, our two daughters and spouses, and their two children each for a total of 10). One family takes the lower floor, we are on the ground floor, and the other family is in the loft. We come back because the Lodge loves up to its name and is a recreational retreat for the whole family. We use the beach at Crystal Lake, the kayaks and canoe on Long Pond, and the lawn and gardens for games, campfires, and relaxation. The owner is totally responsible and trustworthy. For example, this year we had a small hitch with the water system and the owner appeared within hours to fix it. Our family has come to regard Tranquility Lodge as our summer home for a week. Our grandkids still love Storyland, and we also do blueberry picking, hikes up Foss Mountain, and in August, great viewing of the meteor showers! The lodge is well-appointed and served our family of 10 very well with all the kitchen appliances, etc. that we needed to move right in and set up housekeeping. It is our plan to continue this tradition as long as the families can travel together."
