  • We keep returning to this hidden gem!

"Our family summered on Kezar Lake for years and years--it is a beautiful, unspoiled, peaceful place--and this wonderful home is the perfect base for exploring and enjoying all that the area has to offer. The owners have lovingly restored and furnished this sweet cottage with attention to detail--Arts and Crafts antiques blended with up-to-date appliances and conveniences. The kitchen is fantastic, there are gathering spaces as well as getaway spaces...the newly finished attic playroom is perfect for kids of all ages. The house is wonderfully cool when the weather outside is hot. Kezar Lake is steps away, you can hear the loons at night, and not much else...the village of North Sutton has hardly changed at all since our childhood (a LONG time ago!) The owners are attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed, so all we had to do was move in and relax. Highly recommend this lovely place!"

  • Outstanding! Can't wait to return next summer!

"We have traveled to Storyland for the last few years and have rented three different places. All of them have been great for our family, but this one is hands-down our favorite. Bright, airy and extremely clean, it had a terrific layout with plenty of space for everyone. We traveled with one other family and had 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 2-6) in our group. There were plenty of options for sleeping (with two sets of bunk beds and three other large beds) and we all commented on how comfortable the beds were for the adults. The kitchen and dining area was just what we needed to pull together meals for the kids. Super close to Storyland and just a short drive to Attitash and North Conway. We'll absolutely be booking again next June! Thank you!"

  • Good house on a quiet lake near great hiking!

"The owner Matthew was so thoughtful about our trip and answered all of our questions. The house was sweet and very comfortable, with both bedrooms facing the lake the views are lovely. There is a great, rustic fire pit and a tiny lawn with Adirondack chairs for lounging in the sun. We brought our own reclining lounge chairs to use on the deck. The kitchen had everything we needed and is small but efficient. We drove a short distance and went hiking on the Chippewa Trail on Black Mtn which had incredible views at the top! This would be a fun place for families with smaller children and/or two couples. The guest bed was pretty firm so bring a pillow top if a softer bed is preferred. We truly enjoyed our stay!"

  • Enjoyable area to explore

"The studio was comfortable, clean and quiet. Cindi and Brett were great hosts-available if needed. They greeted us when we arrived and gave us some advice on dining and outdoor adventures and put the ac in the window which we needed one night. We rode our mountain bikes on the Sugar River Trial which was beautiful, but the trail had some sandy spots that made it very difficult to pedal. There were several ATV's on the trail also which was fine except when they came by and kicked up a lot of dust. We also did a 2-mile climb to the summit of Mt. Sunapee which was a great trail but difficult if you are not in decent shape. The view at the summit was beautiful. You could also take a ski lift to the top and walk down the mountain. The Adventure Park was also open with other cool stuff to try especially for families. The State Beach also rents kayaks/canoes for an hour or a half day starting Memorial Day weekend. Flying Goose had great nachos and my husband loved the beer brewed on site. They have a solar-powered brewery on site that we would have loved to have checked out but Brewer works weekdays only. Pizza at Bubba's was good - wood fired pizza oven. Grab a pizza to go and find a spot across the street overlooking the lake. Sanctuary Farm Ice Cream was delicious - fun place to hang out with kids. Animals to pet, etc. Mill Stone on Main St. had delicious food, drinks and excellent service. French Dip was delicious. Sunapee Harbor was quaint with shops and small restaurants. Preservation Center was worth a visit."
