Easy walk to state beach, use of kayaks great and quick drive to MTN with many summer activities. • Perfect for large families!

"Our stay was 8/6-8/13/2016. There were 8 adults and 7 children from 6 to 12 and we were never crowded or under foot. The property is divided into a large (Bear) cabin and a smaller (little bear) cabin, they were decorated adorably . Our family get along and we were all looking forward to this time to visit , relax, and have some adventures. The location is beautiful and the proximity to the water was great. Can't say enough about the clear lake water and mountain views. Best sunsets were down at the beach. The house s were well set up with everything you need , linens( of course) you bring yourself. There is a small store (JoJos) a short trip away so what you forget you can find. 20-25 min away is a large grocery for major supplies. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms spotless and you will get the hang of the water temperature adjustments in the showers. We are grilling folks and thankfully our sons brought theirs because one gas grill just won't feed our 15. We ate all meals outside except breakfast as this is a treat. The smell of the pines is heavenly and 2 very long picnic tables accommodated our crew with comfort. We ended our evening with a gathering around the fire pit. Highly recommend this experience to all. Madelyn Mitton was a dream to talk to and was very accessible for any questions. WiFi on the property worked well. Thanks again Mr and Mrs Mitton."

  • Beautiful Views From Spacious Mountain Retreat

"Well appointed cabin with plenty of room for everyone. Nicely decorated so if felt like a home away from home. Great books about the area in the cabin, as well as puzzles and games. We loved waking up every morning to the different views of the valley. Some mornings shrouded in fog, others crystal clear. We saw deer through binoculars near the lake, and a doe and fawn right on the property. Also, some of the largest wild turkeys we had ever seen. Raptors and Hummingbirds were among the many species of birds we saw on the property. We hiked many trails in the White Mountain National Forest, a highlight being Mount Washington. If you like easy waterfall trails, check out Sabbaday Falls and The Basin. Best bang for your buck, free. The Flume Gorge is highly overrated and expensive. $62 for a family of four and way too crowded to enjoy nature. We barely scratched the surface of the many trails we wanted to explore. Will definitely return to this special place."

  • Perfect spot for a summer vacation!

"This is a lovely and spacious home that my family will *hopefully* return to for years to come. We enjoyed meals on the new deck and large dining table and listening to the loons as we fell asleep at night. The house was clean and had all the indoor amenities we needed. The swimming area perfect for both waders and divers alike, and we loved swimming to the raft and boating around the point. We had kids, teenagers, and young and old couples, and the house never felt crowded. We highly recommend it!"
