  • Christmas in New York

"Absolutely loved this apartment in the East Village. The location was ideal for exploring the neighbourhood with so many cafes, restaurants and bars so close. There is a CitiBike dock right outside the door which was a perfect way to get around the city. We were here in the winter so we didn't get to make full use of the rooftop terrace, but we did bundle up and go enjoy a coffee there regardless because it was such a gorgeous outdoor space. One of my favourite things to do was to sit on the window seat looking out over the street with a coffee. The exposed brick and artistic decor made it a very cozy space. Tatyana made check in extremely easy and she made herself readily available in case we had any questions. The only draw back for some travellers may be that it is a fourth floor unit. We have no problem with stairs but if you have mobility issues this would not be the apartment for you."

  • Ideal Location

"When my friends and I arrived the unit wasn't quite ready so Peter invited us into his home for a beer and some stories of the neighborhood. It was fascinating to hear the history. Before we could finish the beer, the unit was ready. It was just what we needed. The rooms were very comfortable and had that historic charm to them. But we didn't stay there too long because there was so much to see, eat and drink. The unit is blocks away from the East River as well as the Brooklyn Heights Promenades, both absolutely stunning. To tell you how conveniently located the unit is, on our first full day, we walked to lower Manhattan, toured the Statue of Liberty, visited the 911 Memorial, saw the sunset from the top of the One World Center, had beer in quart styrofoam cups from the self proclaimed last dive bar in Manhattan, and walked back over the Brooklyn Bridge to get home. A lot of walking, but it shows you the convenience of this unit's location. On our next day, we walked around Brooklyn sampling the various bars and restaurants (though we that would take a year to do it justice as there were bars and restaurants everywhere!). So whether you want to tour Manhattan or enjoy the tastes of Brooklyn, this unit is ideal. Very highly recommended!!"
