  • Great NY apartment for 4!

"I agree with all the positive comments throughout these reviews. The apartment was quaint with comfy beds, good location and good owner. There was one loud night but it didn't keep us up. The place is pretty quiet for NY and I liked the 4th floor. A good space for exploring NYC especially if you take a few minutes to understand the bus systems. There are three major bus lines within 200 ft or less of the apartment and get you quickly to any subway line. For $31 dollars you can get a 7 day Metra card good on all the buses and subs. However, don't hesitate to walk. We walked all the way to Battery park through Little Italy China Town, Greenwich, Soho and back! Loved it."

  • Better than you will expect

"This place was awesome. Extremely clean. Very nicely furnished and fully equipped - down to a washer/dryer. All the rooms were surprisingly large - especially for NYC. Family room can easily seat 5 or 6; dining area for 6 or 8; huge kitchen. The master was large, private bath; walk-in closet; very comfortable. Extra pillows and blankets and tons of towels and related needs. Very cool garden patio off the master with sitting space for many. Second bed and bath were great. The bedrooms are in the back so they are quite and dark. Plus - there are several great restaurants on that very block - plus a cupcake store and a bodega at the end of the block. Nice upscale grocery store about 2 blocks away. And from the location, you can walk to everything in lower Manhattan - Nolita, Solita, Soho, etc. It is on the upper end of what we normally like to spend, but this was well worth it. If we come back to the east Village, this will be the place again. Plus, the owner emailed the day we arrived to see if everything was OK and refunded the security deposit mere days after departure. A class place and operation."

  • Cute apartment/Great location!

"My husband and I stayed here with another couple in November. We had plenty of room for four adults. The market located across the street was perfect to pick up snacks, drinks, toilet paper, etc. There are lots of restaurants and bars nearby and a very cute park to sit and relax. We headed into Manhattan several times and it was very easy with uber. It didn't take long to get there and back each day."

  • Convenient location, safe neighbourhood.

"The studio was up one flight of stairs and faced the street. There was some street noise and we could hear the very heavy front door banging with every coming and going. The apartment itself was clean and cheery, a good shower over the bathtub and plenty of hot water. The kitchen is tiny with very little bench space. OK for heating up pre-bought meals but no room for any real meal preparation. There was a small table but it was a real relief to be able to go up on the roof and eat a meal up there in the communal garden. There was an ample supply of toilet paper, washing liquid etc and the coin-op laundry in the basement was very convenient. All available space is filled with nick nacks and art works - not a good place for anyone who is clumsy. The bed doubled as the sofa and it became a bit of a hassle pushing it in and out and remaking the bed every day. There wasn't really much room to spread out our suitcases and very little hanging space in the wardrobe. The weather was hot and it was great to have an airconditioner but it did tend to be a bit noisy and rattled a lot, we also got the noise of water dripping from the aircon in the unit above. The location was great for venturing out around Brooklyn and into Manhattan via the subway. Lots of little cafes and restaurants nearby and a couple of well stocked grocery stores. Not the real hipster "happening" part of Brooklyn but safe and quiet with good amenities and easy to get around. Booking process and key pick up were easy. The owner left lots of information and emergency contact details (which we didn't need to use) and he was in communication with us to make sure everything was OK. We enjoyed our stay."
