  • Outstanding rental!

"This was my first VRBO experience where the apartment was actually better than the photos. The apartment is in an outstanding location, close to theaters, restaurants, Times Square, metro stations, Central Park, and more. The views from each room are remarkable. It is surprisingly spacious and comfortable with plenty of room in the living room, bedrooms, and bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Daniella is a gracious hostess with great tips for new visitors to the city. We will definitely be staying here again!"

  • Convenient Location for a visit to NYC

"We were the very first people to stay here, so I'll try to do a concise good vs. bad for the benefit of all. First, this property is not a "vacation rental". It is the home of a family, so you are living amongst their "stuff" (at least the stuff they don't lock away before you get there). This didn't bother us; we are respectful renters and took good care of their property. The location of this home is fantastic. You are about 1.5 blocks from the subway, around the corner from one of the main streets in Astoria. There are SO MANY ethnic restaurants in the area, so there are numerous dining options. If you choose to use the kitchen in the home, there is a supermarket only a few blocks away. (Actually, there are a couple of choices.) The house provides sleeping space for 7-8 people. There is a VERY comfortable 2 person bed in the master bedroom. single bunk beds in the kid's room. There is a double sleeper sofa in the living room and a double bed in the basement. There are two bathrooms, both with showers. There is a nice kitchen and a dining area. The neighborhood felt very, very safe. I believe the owners allow pets with prior arrangement. Cable TV and Netflix are available, and the wifi works beautifully. The downside: There is a beautiful bathtub in the upstairs bathroom, but you can't use it. Such a shame. Plenty of towels are available, but the owners did not provide any washcloths. There were not blankets for all the beds. We used one of the blankets from the master bed for the sleeper sofa. The heat in the house works TOO well. We kept it off most of the time. The house was TOO warm! The washer and dryer are old and don't work very well. The dryer squeals, but the owners know about that. The kitchen has minimal dishware. We had 5 people staying in the house, and my daughter and a friend came over for meals. There were barely enough glasses for beverages for all. It's not a cook's kitchen. There is only the bare minimum of pots, pans, cookware. The microwave does not work, which can be a REAL problem for travelers. It makes it difficult to heat up restaurant leftovers. There were no kitchen towels, so no way to dry dishes that could not go in the dishwasher. We ended up using a lot of paper towels. One thing to know, the owners require all adults staying at the residence to provide picture IDs in advance of your stay. According to VRBO this is legal. I've never encountered that requirement before."

"I often stay in soho Manhattan but it's become so expensive I decided to opt for Weehawken. The apartment is a ten minute ride to Times sq! - $3 on the bus or $15 in uber x. The local vibe is great and the view from the apartment is unbelievable !! At day and night you look onto all of Manhattan - awe inspiring. Apartment is spacious, comfortable, well equipped and very clean. Host is a very kind and attentive lady who is always available and gave me great NYC tips As someone who has come to nyc often I would totally recommend this. Enjoy"

  • VRBO124005 Great House

"The house was charming. It was in a quiet residential neighborhood with plenty of parking. It is very close to many restaurants and shops. The home was nicer than the description. It was equipped with a huge amount of dishes glasses, cups, pans pots, etc.etc. There were lots of extra blankets, towels, etc. The furniture was beautiful, functional, and comfortable. The house had early 20th century charm and was very comfortable.
