  • I Died and Went to Hydrangea Heven

"First I fell in love with a photo. A photo of a beautiful, stately Victorian lady, lovingly restored to the grandeur of an earlier era, a real home with an expansive wraparound porch engulfed with burgeoning banks of hydrangea, nestled on a quiet small-town street. I then fell in love with the house itself. What I feared might turn out to be the result of a professionally airbrushed beauty shot in a real estate offices window, to my delight turned out to be the actual house in the picture. This home is every bit as lovely as the photos show her to be. As a first timer to Asbury Park, visiting along with my family as part of a milestone birthday celebration, I was taking a huge leap of faith renting a house in a town on which I had never laid eyes previously. We could not have been more pleased. I can highly recommend this home, without qualm, to any prospective renter. The house itself is centrally located, and is an easy walk both to town ( which is amazing by the way, very metropolitan, with great shopping, bars and dining options ), and to the boardwalk and beautiful beach. The owners were friendly, helpful, accessible, and a dream to work with, even going so far as answering my inquires from their vacation in Europe. The only drawback I can conceive of, if you can even call it one, will be that you will find it extremely difficult to venture forth beyond this heavenly porch. Thank you Gentlemen for sharing your beautiful home with the world. You've done an exquisite job making her whole again."

  • Cozy home, close to everything you could want!

"Great space, Mikkel was very helpful during our entire stay (11 nights). It wasn't exactly spotless, but it was for the most part clean. Perfect size for a couple... my husband and I stayed with our "babies" (our dog and our cat) during his winter block leave from his training post in Louisiana. This is such a cozy place in a great location, we were very happy to find something like this that was pet friendly (always a non negotiable for us!)"

  • Great trip!

"This is the second time we stayed at this complex. Rooms are small but well appointed and clean, decorating is funky and offbeat. Just two blocks from Boardwalk, great location. Our dog was welcomed which was great. We will definitely be back - we love Asbury Park!"

  • Hayworth Heaven Haven

"I booked the Hayworth the weekend of August 26th through the 29th this year. It was a BIG birthday for me, so I decided to pull out all the stops and really treat myself. I fell in love with the pictures on this site, and the actual location did not disappoint and in fact, surpassed them. My friends were every bit as floored as I was by the laid back beachy opulence of the house. We all come from the interior design industry, and can be a little particular when it comes to interiors. No detail was overlooked. Everything was supplied, and in abundance. From the luxurious plush Trina Turk beach towels to the vast variety of sunscreen options. Check in first before going shopping for necessities as you will find you will need to take very little with you that is not already supplied. Food galore in the fridge, freezer and pantries. AC blasting upon check-in. A lovely bottle of wine in a wine bucket awaited my arrival. Pure unadulterated luxury from start to finish. THE most comfortable bed I have EVER slept in. One guest kept threatening to take her mattress with her when we checked out. Had to check her bags when we left to make sure she hadn't The sheets were amazing too. Every single creature comfort was anticipated and supplied. And the pool! That pool! To tell you the truth, i really did not want to leave that back yard. Ever. It was bliss at it's most blissful. Grilled burgers back there, made S'mores in the firepit, and cemented already great friendships. The owners were very helpful and quick to answer all my initial questions, no matter how small. They were a dream to work with. There is a wonderful fact book there too that will tell you everything you need to know about the house itself and the surrounding area. Lots of wonderful suggestions. Rented a bike and found some great thrift shops around town. Always on the hunt for treasures to haul back home with me. I could go on and on and on and on, but suffice it to say I was beyond satisfied with my stay at the Hayworth. I can highly recommend it to anybody looking to get away from the hustle and bustle. You will NOT be disappointed. I left a piece of my heart in Asbury Park, New Jersey. I'll be back to find it. Thank you Jen & Jamie!"
