"My family of four, which includes two teenagers, just spent an amazing week at this property. Upon arrival, we were immediately impressed. Well manicured property, picturesque porch, and a view of the oceanfront that could be seen from our parking spot out front! Once inside, we could not believe how impeccable this place was. Extremely spacious, updated decor, and squeaky clean. The amenities were endless...state of the art kitchen, AC, washer/dryer, ALL linens for beds, bath, and beach, beach chairs for the entire family, beach umbrella, beach games, beach wagon to lug it all, and bikes as well. It was even stocked with initial toiletries. The beach was two blocks up and downtown was three blocks over, both having more than enough to do. Mixed with plenty of shops and restaurants, as well as activities for the kids (and adults!) such as the pinball arcade, miniature golf, and pedal boats on the lake. When it was time to head out, we didn't want to leave. We look forward to vacationing here again!"

  • A relaxing retreat from city life

"On the day before we left, one of our 5 year old twins turned to me and said, "Mama, can we stay here forever?" Karen has a beautiful home that we loved. We spent our mornings and early afternoons on the beach, the splash playground, and walking around Asbury park, and returned around 4 pm to cook dinner outside in the beautifully appointed outdoor kitchen/BBQ area while the kids played on the lawn or had a squirt gun battle. The kitchen had every thing we could possibly think of, which made cooking an absolute pleasure. I burn everything on an electric stove, so I happily cooked outside on the grill's gas burner rather than torching breakfast. After putting the kids to bed, we relaxed with margaritas in the hot tub. Karen was responsive by text when we had questions, and we returned to NYC rejuvenated and refreshed. Thanks, Karen!"

  • Great house, great location

"We rented this house for a week right after Labor Day. My husband and I were there for the week, and were joined by my parents and sisters' families for the weekend. The house is in a great location, just a couple blocks to the beach. The house is nicely decorated and very clean. There is a front porch which we used for morning coffee each day, and a back yard with seating and a dining table. We didn't use the yard, although had the whole family been there all week, I'm sure we would have. Although we only cooked one night, the kitchen had everything we needed - serving ware, large pots for seafood, dish towels, etc. Also, the garage is stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, a cart, bikes, children's toys - really anything you need for a beach getaway. We didn't have young children, but if you do, everything you need is here - a crib, playpen, toys, games. The owners have thought of anything that a guest could use and made sure it is there. I do think you need to bring your own bath towels. Although they are included, on a couple of the double beds, there was only one bath towel. One other thing to note is that the 3rd floor master suite doesn't have a door on it. It's private since it is its own floor, but we heard everything going on below us. My communication with Melissa before and during our stay was great. She returned emails and texts very promptly. Overall, the whole family loved the house and would definitely return for a future stay."

  • I Died and Went to Hydrangea Heven

"First I fell in love with a photo. A photo of a beautiful, stately Victorian lady, lovingly restored to the grandeur of an earlier era, a real home with an expansive wraparound porch engulfed with burgeoning banks of hydrangea, nestled on a quiet small-town street. I then fell in love with the house itself. What I feared might turn out to be the result of a professionally airbrushed beauty shot in a real estate offices window, to my delight turned out to be the actual house in the picture. This home is every bit as lovely as the photos show her to be. As a first timer to Asbury Park, visiting along with my family as part of a milestone birthday celebration, I was taking a huge leap of faith renting a house in a town on which I had never laid eyes previously. We could not have been more pleased. I can highly recommend this home, without qualm, to any prospective renter. The house itself is centrally located, and is an easy walk both to town ( which is amazing by the way, very metropolitan, with great shopping, bars and dining options ), and to the boardwalk and beautiful beach. The owners were friendly, helpful, accessible, and a dream to work with, even going so far as answering my inquires from their vacation in Europe. The only drawback I can conceive of, if you can even call it one, will be that you will find it extremely difficult to venture forth beyond this heavenly porch. Thank you Gentlemen for sharing your beautiful home with the world. You've done an exquisite job making her whole again."
