  • Fabulous family vacation beach house!

"Our family beach vacation week in Surf City was the best! The Ulbrich home is so wonderful and amazing and has a lot of perks i.e. Game room, hot tub, fishing tackle room, handicap accessibility, an elevator, and 3 levels of awesome decks. The house even smelled wonderful when we walked in! It was so clean, spacious and airy yet very welcoming and comfortable. Klaus, the owner, is a pleasure to deal with, 100% hospitable, kind, welcoming and promptly available by a quick phone call or message if needed. We had absolutely no issues and everything was as advertised and then some. This family has put a lot of effort and thought into their beach house and it truly shows inside and out. We feel very lucky to have been able to have a week there. We even got to relax and rejuvenate. We hope to come back next year and have another fabulous week! Thank you to the Ulbrich family! Warm regards, The O'Donnell Clan"

  • Fabulous Find for a Family and Pet

"Wow! Did our family of 4 adults, 2 small children and 1 beagle, luck out with the Sea Tulip! Not only was the house on the beach block, but there was a traffic light at the corner of N. 19th Street and the Boulevard, making it simple and SAFE to cross over when walking or turning left when driving. The house offered plenty of beds and our almost 2 year old grandson slept in the full-sized crib stored in an upstairs bedroom closet, so we didn't have to rent one. Towels, bedding, beach necessities (cart, chairs, umbrellas, toys) were all there and so was a washer and dryer, which was used daily. Tableware and silverware, along with sturdy plastic glasses met our needs well, as did the gas grill and dish washer. There was plenty of room inside and out for the children to play safely and for the adults to sit around and relax, especially on the back covered deck and the yard with its hammock and patio seating. A general market, many restaurants, ice cream shops, gift shops and much more were within a short, 3 block distance of the house and made for a really casual vacation. However, if you really want to know what the best part of this experience was, it had to be dealing with the owner, Mike. No questions or details about the house and surrounding areas were left unanswered in a very timely fashion. He's a fabulous owner who takes great pride in his Surf City home and is kind enough to share it with those lucky enough to rent it. The Sea Tulip is an all around winner."

  • Friendly, Quiet Atmospher

"I wasn't sure what to expect for our vacation trip to the shore. I haven't been to the shore since the hurricane and wasn't sure of the economic and other effects. I was pleasantly surprised. Stanley, who runs the condo unit (may own too - not sure) texted me just a few hours after I made the reservation to check in. We had a bunch of questions and I texted Stanley many times prior to arriving at the rental. He is very responsive and accommodating. We have a little boy who finds travel very disagreeable. Stanley moved some things around and let us check in a little early to ease the burden of our long trip to the shore. The condo unit seems to have renters and fully time people living there. Everyone was very respectful and I felt that they look out for one another too. In our short stay, we became friendly with a bunch of folks staying at the condo and everyone was quiet, respectful, and friendly. Like the listing suggests, the condo is about 8 blocks from the boardwalk. We liked being close to the boardwalk but not too close because we could enjoy the boardwalk and beach then retreat to our quiet rental just blocks away. I definitely recommend staying here. The price is right, the neighbors are quiet and friendly, and you're 8 blocks from the beach and boardwalk."

  • Great Location! Great House!

"We rented this house for 2 weeks in August for our children and grandchildren. We were 6 adults and 4 children and there was plenty of room. The whole house has been renovated and we really appreciated the modern amenities and the beachy chic furniture and décor. The five comfortable bedrooms accommodated our group very nicely. The walk to the beach was made easier because there is a traffic light at corner to cross main blvd. It was really nice to be close to the bay to take the kids crabbing or to kayak. And the beautiful sunsets every night! The location is perfect for all ages. You can walk or bike to the amusements and restaurants and there's a public park playground on street behind. This is the first time we ever rented down the shore as we had a family house of our own for many years. The owners of this house are so accommodating and wonderful people. The house was very clean and very comfortable. We would go back and we definitely recommend it to others."
