  • Unbelievable house for a large group or family gathering

"I stayed at this house for a week in July. My entire family of 22 people gathered together and fit very comfortably in this house. There is tons of space and the entire house was in great shape and very clean. The house is a short block to the beach and you can walk to everything. The house is at the end of Surf City that is rather quiet and the street is not very busy. It comes fully equipped with sheets, towels, gas grill, kitchen utensils, X-box, ping-pong table and much more. Jim was a great guy and if I had any questions or issues, he immediately called me back and dealt with them. I am looking forward to coming back next year."

  • Always Perfect

"This is out third consecutive year staying in this house for two weeks in the summer. We come back for a reason. Everything is exactly as advertised (if not better). The owners are great and easy to deal with. The house is just perfect for my family. We have three sons one of which is married with two young children. (The floors all have child gates on the stairwells which is a nice plus.) Everyone comes down as their schedule allows and when all are there with their significant others we have 9 people in the house. The house EASILY accommodates everyone and with three large decks, and a huge top floor dining/family area the house seems twice the stated size. The huge dining table makes for great family dinners and late night board game play. The roof deck has clear bay and ocean views and the sunsets are a nightly "must see" for all. You can see from the Lighthouse to the Causeway and beyond from the large seating area up top. Whether a Cigar and a Bourbon or just beautiful starry nights are your idea of relaxing, the roof deck is he place to be. As far as the beach, it is literally a 60 second trip to the beach from the front door. The location beach wise is as ideal as any on the island. Beautiful dunes, deep beach, lifeguard station 50 yards from walkway onto beach and NEVER a crowd like the more central or southern located beaches are. The street is quiet and isn't invaded by anyone other than the residents of 85th street. New couches upstairs this year added to the comfort level. Last year all decks were painted and resurfaced. every year the house is kept up and something added or freshened up. I honestly can't think of a negative. Neptune Market is a GREAT package store (TRY THEIR CRUMBCAKE!!!) that is one block away. If you want a great gourmet meal Black Eyed Susan's is our fave and its just two blocks away. The Harvey Cedars park is a great spot for bay sunsets, crabbing, and has an awesome playground for the kiddies. I'd tell you more but I need to contact the owners and book our two weeks for next year before YOU DO! John"

  • Down by the Bay - week of relaxation

"My boyfriend's family and I (6 adults, 1 baby) stayed in the bottom apartment for a week in June. The weather was wonderful, the bay was warm and beautiful, and the apartment was fantastic! There is a spacious master bedroom with its own bathroom (plus - two sinks, large shower!) and a king size bed (very comfortable - bring your own sheets and blanket). Then there are 3 rooms on the other side of the kitchen (the separation was nice), 2 having a queen size bed and 1 having a queen and a twin along with another bathroom with a tub. The kitchen had every utensil, dish, misc item (including a junk drawer) that you needed and the dishwasher made clean up so much easier. There was also a washer/dryer in the wet bar area which was perfect for towels and bathing suits after days hanging by the bay or beach. The apartment also has a little bit of a larger balcony (waist high enclosed with glass) than the upstairs apartment that has a table/chairs and a grill. We spent a lot of time out there with a beautiful breeze (no bugs when it's breezy but bring some spray for still nights) and a wonderful view of the bay and all of its activity. Beach badges for Ship Bottom were provided (8) and the drive over the bridge was quick and easy! You can drive the other way for access to a WalMart for any grocery needs, also. If bringing a mobile baby, I would suggest bringing a baby gate as the stairs just lead directly into the apartment. The views from the living area on the opposite side of the living room are beautiful with green marshland and more water activity (also a pair of binoculars!). We didn't get around to it but there are a few local areas that offer kayak and jetski rentals and there is a dock that the owner rents out for this use. We would definitely stay here again, what a great week!"

  • Everything we hoped for and more

"From my first correspondence with Tim until the morning we checked out, everything was positive. Reservations were easy, questions were answered promptly and the house and neighborhood met our families expectations. The description of the house was accurate and we were able to accommodate our multiple families of 4, 2, 2, and 1. The first floor of the house has recently been upgraded and the second floor has the beach cape feeling. Air conditioning throughout made for comfortable temperatures when needed but our party enjoyed the sea breeze and of course the screened in porch was the biggest hit. There was also a rooftop deck that provided some wonderful star gazing and a.m. sunrises. The backyard had plenty of space for beach equipment storage, outdoor shower, picnic table, outdoor dinning table and chairs and umbrella, and grill. Approximately ten houses to the beach and three houses from the boulevard (don't let the quick access to the boulevard deter you, the house was so quiet we never heard the street noise at all!). A quaint neighborhood with Wawa for the conveniences, Marvels for the donuts, fritzes liquors, and dinning at Woodies too, Terrace Tavern, and the California Grill. We couldn't forget the ice cream on the corner. Of course there was quick access by car or foot to the putt putt on 34th Street, or Bay Village in Beach Haven. We also decided to go fishing in the Atlantic and traveled up to Barnegat Light for a fishing charter but there are also charters in Beach Haven too. The guarded beach was wonderful at the end of our street too. The neighbors were friendly. Our members of our party have been coming to LBI for 12 years, 30 years, 20 years and 30 years and we all agreed that this house met our beach vacation needs, at a fair price, in a nice neighborhood, and quality owners. We would definitely stay here again."
