  • Great Place to Rest and Play

"We loved our stay at this little gem of a house tucked away on a quiet country road along the Delaware River. One can understand how the impressionist painters got their inspiration as you sit on the spacious deck or glance out of any window facing the river. Different times of the day present palettes of color to delight the soul! It is so peaceful, serene and relaxing. There is plenty to do in this area, as well. One of our favorites was New Hope with its great restaurants, antiques, art galleries and cultural events. Don't miss Lambertville on the Jersey side of the river. Don't miss tubing down the river if you go in the warm weather. The area is packed with lovely places to walk, sights to see, and don't miss a meal at the Black Bass's on the river and the food is delicious. Fabulous ambience. The owners of this house could not have been more gracious and made us feel so welcome. The house itself is extremely inviting to "hang out" in with its open main floor, beautiful kitchen and very comfortable bedrooms. Love, love, love the large deck. I did not expect to find such an architecturally interesting and well designed place. We could have brought our children and grandchildren as there was plenty of room. The house was clean, well supplied and I loved being able to heat my towels in the master bathroom We will definitely return to this home and I would recommend it to anyone as it is so comfortable and welcoming. The only thing that I would like to see change is the T.V. in the living room. It is way too small and on a rainy day, one might just want to hang and watch T.V. or a movie."

  • Wonderful NYE in Frenchtown

"Our small group of friends loved staying at this property over New Years weekend. The owner was very helpful and responsive to our pre-trip questions. We loved the design and flow of the space - very comfortable for our group of 6 adults and two kids (under 4). Our 3 year old especially enjoyed all the toys and the connected room (with a full bed for adults and a twin with trundle for kids) was perfect for our family. The town of Frenchtown was a quick walk away and we found it quite charming. Early Bird for coffee and Olive with a Twist for specialty cheese, fresh bread and olive oils were our favorites."

  • In a word -- perfect!

"This lovely, impeccably maintained home was perfect for my last minute vacation in New Hope. Rich in history, and perfectly located -- I think we took the car out of the provided parkng spot, twice all week -- this house has magic. Beautiful walking/bike paths (smelling of honeysuckle and teeming with wildlife) along the canal are steps away, or you can wak over the bridge to Lambertville and enjoy the State park paths along the canal and railroad. The best restaurants shopping, and everything you need are just steps away -- Perfect. PS Not sure what the reviewer below meant, but their is nothing offensive at all in the interesting period items that appear throughout the the house."

  • Simply lovely!

"We were thrilled to find such a cozy, comfortable and private retreat while still being so close to everything you could possibly need. The surrounding views are so peaceful yet you can be in Frenchtown within minutes for dining, shopping, etc. The interior of the carriage house is immaculately clean, well decorated and extremely comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the gas fireplace as it was perfect on chilly nights! The kitchenette was very handy, too. Another notable feature - the high ceilings and large windows which add even more ambiance to this already pretty space. It was a pleasure meeting the owners. They are very warm, kind people. We hope to return sometime soon. Very pleased with this experience."
