  • Great Family Getaway

"Perfect home for a family getaway. Clean home with a great layout. Experience all the charm of the Victorian homes of Cape May. In walking distance to everything you will need. It includes a storage unit at the beach with chairs and boogie boards so you do not have to drag all your stuff down to the beach. Sally was very friendly and very quick to respond to any questions. My family (3 young children) loved the experience at the Daisy Cottage."

  • Quiet and Peaceful & Wonderful Host

"Just like another reviewer, I was hesitant to write a review about Dragonfly Cottage as it is a perfect, little, hidden gem in Cape May and we want it all to ourselves. First off, Stephanie is a superb host. We had excellent communication even before we set foot into Dragonfly Cottage. The cottage is just the right size for one or two. It is set up beautifully with a queen bed, a small table with two chairs, a comfy chair for sitting and reading, The room has a gas fireplace for heat during any cold nights during those months when you would need it. We did use it once on a second trip and it warmed the room up nicely. There is A/C with a remote which worked very well. A ceiling fan overhead with a light for air circulation. On a corner stand is a TV (32"?) with Xfinity cable. Nice perk to have when you want to watch a show or two from the bed. To the side of the bed in another corner is a small fridge, a microwave, cups and dishes, a toaster, a large Keurig coffee maker and plenty of Keurig coffee and tea along with regular chamomile tea. The bathroom was done quite elegantly with a round sink that sits on top. There is plenty of room to move around. Fresh, clean towels and wash cloths were provided. The windows have shades that move up and down easily. This is a nice perk as we have been in other places that might have curtains but no shades, etc. They block the morning light which helps when you are trying to sleep. We did not spend much time outside in the back, however, if you did there is a gas grill and places to sit. It is a large back yard and we did mosey around the yard a bit. It is a very short drive to the main happenings of Cape May. Depending on what season you plan to come, the parking can be good or difficult to find spots. Stephanie does offer use of bikes, however, we did not take advantage of that. The entire enchanted cottage is clean and well maintained. If there are any concerns or questions, you can always all or text Stephanie. During another stay, I had a question and she called right away with the answer. I should say don't come to Dragonfly Cottage because it is so bad, however, that would be such a lie my nose would grow longer than a telephone wire (as the old poem and song go). If you are coming, please keep it a secret, little gem just between us, yourself and Stephanie. Thank you, Stephanie, for the beautiful cottage and the for being a most friendly host."

  • Family Time at the Beach

"This home was perfect for our family week at the beach. There was plenty of room to spread out and large comfortable spaces to accommodate us when we were all together. The easy walk to the beach and the beach box appealed to everyone. The young marrieds enjoyed the closeness of restaurants and bars for evenings out. The young family walked to the playground, ice cream parlors and the fire station! The parents/grandparents enjoyed the master hideaway on the top floor and the time with family in the shared spaces. The cooks relished the kitchen large enough for us all to work at the same time and the huge dining table to partake of the finished products. You might think a construction site across the road was a downside. But the workers did not start early and the grandkids "supervised" from the porch and noted the progress each day. One of our party is wheelchair bound. The elevator made this property viable for our family. We brought our own shower stool and portable rails for the toilet, items we already own and easily put in our car. The week was a big success thanks in large part to the comfort and lay out of the house. We would recommend this property to others."
