"We are a young family of four (kids are 3 &6) and this was our first year going on vacation solo. We wanted something that wasn't too much, relatively close to a decent beach, and cozy enough to spend downtime when the kids got tired. We also didn't want to commit to the whole 7-day chaos, so this 5 night stay fit us perfectly. The condo is so close to the beach, even if it's technically a couple of blocks away. This end of the island (south) is perfect for the family crowd because it's generally quiet with very clean beaches, good lifeguards, and not a lot of noise or partying. Driving to the Boardwalk was no sweat, nor was getting to some of the other towns, like Wildwood. The condo is nicely decorated and furnished and has a plethora of beach supplies (seriously - save the room in your car, they have all you'll need for beach days). It was the perfect size for our family of four, although it could easily accommodate three kids. My only suggestions would be that 1.) the owners either provide a couple of basics, or let you know to bring them (spices/salt&pepper, trash bags, paper products to name a few) as other places we have stayed did have some basics available. 2.). It may be worth bringing your own bed sheets or look into renting them. Having to get the kids up at 4:30 on departure day to wash all of the sheets and towels was not fun. 3.). Warn new guests about the alcohol ban on the island. We were clueless and while we're not huge drinkers - it's vacation!
Overall, we had a great time, loved the island (it's quite opposite of the bad Jersey Shore stereotypes), the price was very reasonable for the quality of the condo, and we are already talking about returning. Our only wish would be that these owners had full-week availability as an option!"
