  • Tremendous

"The house was exactly what we were hoping for when a group of us randomly decided to rent a house for a week at the shore. The owners (Howard and Jane) were so great; quick to respond to questions and there to meet us to give us the lay of the house and town when we arrived. The house had everything we could want; close to the beach, good size bedrooms, large tables for group dinners both inside and out on the deck, an open kitchen/family room and the pool and spa! Sitting in the pool or spa for hours and having a great laugh became a daily ritual for our crew. We walked into town several nights (roughly a 15 minute walk) for dinner, drinks, ice cream, etc. We hope to be back. Thank you Howard and Jane!"

  • Wonderful vacation house for family and fun

"This large home is fantastic for a family beach vacation. It offers private and quiet bedrooms with excellent mattresses on the first floor and a huge open second floor for family gatherings. There is extra off-street parking and plenty of open lot space. The kitchen is very large and very well equipped. The living room has comfortable seating for many ....but the best part is the second floor covered deck facing the water. It is very large, has comfy furniture, rocking chairs and an amazing view of the beach. The owners are very friendly, very helpful and very easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this home for a real beach vacation."

  • Excellent Location! Bigger Than Expected!

"My family and I rented this house for a wedding that we were attending in Stone Harbor. First, it was so convenient that we could rent for 4 nights versus a full week. That is very difficult to find!!! The location of this house is perfect! It is in the quiet section of Stone Harbor and just two houses back from the beach!! The beach at 117th Street is very large and not crowded at all! The house itself looks tiny from the outside but is much bigger inside. The main master bedroom was huge . The other four bedrooms, while not large, were more than accommodating. Three of the five bedrooms have AC. On a humid day, it did get a bit stuffy in the house but the breeze from the ocean was more than enough to cool off the rooms. Every room does have some sort of fan so that definitely helps! The bathrooms, while in need of some updating, were big enough to share. There is also a half bath on the bottom floor which is most helpful when coming in off the beach so you do not track sand all over the upstairs. The kitchen is small but well stocked with kitchen equipment and is open to the family dining area and great room. The great room was much larger than it looks in the pictures and sat our families most comfortably. The best part of the house is the huge wrap around deck with ocean views!! There is alot of seating out on the deck and we spent a considerable amount of time out there. It is a great place for morning coffee and an evening cocktail!! There are not many food markets or restaurants in this area of Stone Harbor but the downtown is just a short 5 minute drive away. Mary, the owner, is very responsive via email and the house was clean and neat when we arrived! I would definitely recommend this house for family vacations!"
