  • A Great Cabin and a Great Owner

"The cabin is near the top of a beautiful neighborhood and has a truly awesome view off the back deck. It is secluded just enough that my family and I could really relax and enjoy the sights and smells without tripping over other people. It is not one of those cabins with strategic pictures that makes it and the neighborhood look like far more than it really is, this one is honestly just a nice cabin in a great location. The interior is comfortable and inviting and provided plenty of space for my family of four to both enjoy each other and take the obligatory vacation nap(s) occasionally. One thing I want to STRESS to anyone considering renting this property. We found the owner John to be a truly outstanding person of great integrity. John was very cordial, professional, and flexible. He checked in with us afterwards and took care of us in every way. If you have this cabin bookmarked on your short list, you should really give it a try...good value for a fair price! ( I'm just an honest renter )"

  • Just Wonderful!!!

"This is the third time my wife and I have rented the Rock Cottage within the last four years. Each stay has been memorable. Nancy and Bud are terrific hosts who take great pride in making sure all of your questions are answered and your needs met. The cottage is perfect for a couple - everything you need is there and more. Organ is a ghost town, so the location is pleasantly "out of the ordinary", but it is also so convenient to the many beautiful sites which the area offers such as the Organ Mountains National Monument, White Sands National Monument, ghost towns, nature trails, and museums (especially the Zuhl Museum on the NMSU campus which is just incredible and a must see). Carlsbad Caverns, Santa Fe, Tucson (AZ), and Silver City are within a days drive and all are worth a visit. Another must is the Farmer's Market which is held every Wed and Sat on the Main Street of Las Cruces. About 8 blocks of downtown are blocked off from traffic and almost everything imaginable is there from foods and produce to arts and crafts to music and dog walking. It really is a happening and just a lot of fun. There is so much to do here you will never be bored, but if you enjoy just relaxing and watching the beautiful birds (or the peacocks that Nancy and Bud tend to in their back yard) or watching the daily magnificent sunsets, this is a great spot. Nancy and Bud have treated us like family for which we are so appreciative. Bottom line - it is perfect for us by every measure!"
