  • Wonderful and relaxing

"Angel Fire's Cabin in the Woods is wonderful and relaxing; there is something for every one to do. The cabin is well equipped with everything you need. I enjoyed sitting on the big porch watching deer and elk graze in the front yard. Birds and squirrels flew and ran all over the place. The cabin had plenty of utensils, dishes and cooking pans. I will probably be returning next year since this is the best rental place I have ever found. Thanks to Greg for renting his cabin. I spent most of my morning and afternoons fishing at Eagle Nest Lake. I caught some of the largest trout ever this year. We also enjoy driving the Enchanted Circle, stopping at the fish hatchery, D. H. Lawrence's ranch, the Vietnam Memorial, and shopping in Red River and Taos, where the Kit Carson museum is located."

  • So good we keep returning.

"When traveling with family, especially young children, VRBOs are the way to go. This particular VRBO is top notch. We've stayed at this home during summer to escape the heat of OK and we've visited during peek ski season. The owners treat us like family and have gone so far as to leave toys available when they knew we were visiting with our youngest. Everything you could possibly need is provided and the kitchen is completely stocked. The beds and all the furniture don't give you that uncomfortable feeling of "when was this cleaned last". You can tell the owners take pride in their home and have thought of everything to make sure your stay is top notch. The closeness to the golf course, tennis courts, parks, and walking trails allow us to park our vehicle and leave it for most of the stay. During the winter, you might not be walking distance to the ski area, but you are close enough to go home for lunch. If you don't mind a little longer drive, Taos is about an hour away and has wonderful food, art, culture and even more skiing. Be sure to grab a map and check out all the great hiking that surrounds the area too. During the summer, Angel Fire ski area has great mountain biking and zip lining too. Our last stay was during President's weekend and we are already planning our next return. Thank you for sharing your home!"

  • Great location, very comfortable and clean, lots of character and accommodations for our family of 4

"Stayed here beginning March 5th, 2016. Very clean and well maintained. Very peaceful and quiet during our stay. My wife loved the late afternoon visit of mule deer each day. Has a nice large deck across the front with a view of the valley and mountains to the east. Outdoor fireplace on the deck, would be great in the summer/fall timeframes. Accommodations were all good, beds were comfortable, with plenty of room. Our boys loved the little hideaway bedroom going upstairs. Really enjoyed the use of the wood burning stove, that made it very comfortable and cozy each evening, whether watching movies or just hanging out and playing some games. Used the outdoor grill to cookout one evening, which worked well. Would certainly use again if we are in the area. Just a few minutes up the hill from all facilities, so access is great and quick. Thanks for a great stay."
