  • Mountain Luxury

"House was beautiful with all the comforts of home! Everything from the bath towels to the high-efficiency fireplace was top notch. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need for cooking for a crowd. Plenty of beds- 4 queens (2 are bunked), a trundle twin, and a full. Easy walk to the slopes. The base area bars/restaurants are walkable from the house (if you don't mind a little longer walk). No internet or cable in the house as advertised, spotty 3g signal for Verizon. Definitely need 4WD in the winter for the driveway."

  • Beautiful little house in lovely setting

"This tree house is carefully and artistically designed and makes maximum use of its idyllic setting . Sitting on the front balcony looking out over the lake or sitting down by the waters watching the shifting reflections as the sun moves over from the mountains to the trees is all I need from life. However there is much to see, do and eat in Taos and it is all easily accessible from here. We enjoyed many open houses formerly lived in by by artists and traders and the Taos pueblo among other things. Then, to return, was a pleasure too. The window above the bed can be opened to give fresh air at night in summer. I am sure that the little stove makes it snug in colder seasons too. Altogether too short a stay. Thanks to our host and hostess."

  • Fantastic!

"We loved being here! We have always camped in the Tolby campground - this was a great alternative to camping in a tent :). The view in the mornings, afternoons, evenings were just so calming and relaxing. Even though we didn't fish the Holy Waters, we still were able to fish our normal areas downstream and in Eagle Nest lake. Our son got a guide for fishing the Holy Waters the last day and as a new fly fisherman, received a multitude of information for future fishing! The front area was great after coming in from downstream and taking off waders and storing fishing stuff. It keeps the rest of the house clean from all of the mud and water being tracked into the house. Loved that! Everything was available that we could have wanted. We made a trip to Angel Fire grocery store when we got in and the house had just about everything else we needed. One thing I missed being available was a great place to sit outside and enjoy the wonderful scenery and air. It won't of course keep us from renting the house again, but just a suggestion if you ever want to put a picnic table or seating area outside. :) (The little space right outside the patio doors would be a perfect place for a table!!) Great place - thank you for allowing us to stay there - it was just what we needed!"
