  • Perfect retreat near town and trails

"My husband and I stayed at the casita at the end of July. It was the perfect get away from our usual busy, urban lifestyle. So quiet I didn't want to leave! Town and hiking trails are a short distance away. The kitchen is well stocked including a blender, many utensils and pots/pans. The shelves of the living room overflow with movies and books. The best spot is outside on the patio watching lightning strikes in the distant mountains as the sun sets. David and Wendy are great hosts. They checked in but did not hover. There is a new air conditioning unit that really chilled the house down although most days were mild enough we just opened the windows and ran the fan. I highly recommend this home for its quiet and comfort."

  • Beautiful adobe home with unique layout

"We had a great stay at Tom's Coyote Springs home. The house feels very New Mexico with adobe build and wooden ceiling with log beams. It has a large rounded living area and fully equipped eat-in kitchen. There is a nice view from the loft and from the separate meditation tower. It was very clean and comfortable and the perfect base to explore the area from. Tom was always responsive and even left a bottle of wine to surprise us! We definitely would like to return."

  • MoonStar

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 12 loved the experience of staying at MoonStar! We especially loved having wood provided to sit in front of the outdoor fireplace in the evenings before a roaring fire. The kitchen had everything we needed except a can opener, which I bought. As reported, we damaged the gate to the property when our trailer with motorcycles didn't get through in time before the gate closed. We plan to pay for the damage when a bill is sent to us! You might have the timer give more seconds before the gate closes. Also, the master bathroom sink on the left was slow to drain, so you might have that repaired. It was a truly wonderful experience to stay in that lovely home with so many beautiful works of art to enjoy and the magnificent views. Thank you and the staff so very much. Jody Schwartz"

  • Can't wait to return!

"Want a place to relax? A place where you can hear the birds sing, watch the rabbits feeding on the grass outside the window, drink your morning coffee on the portal as the breeze winds its way through the orchard and the aspens. A place full of books and magazines, of large comfortable sofas and chairs. Yet so very close to all that Santa Fe and northern New Mexico offers. During our week's stay, my wife and I took day trips to Madrid and the San Marcos Café, to the plaza and farmers' market in Santa Fe, to the small towns and art colonies on the high road to Taos, and to the train ride in Chama. On alternating days we simply stayed in the guesthouse, enjoying the tranquility. The owner is accommodating, informative, and welcoming. Before we arrived she gave us all the information we needed: how to get to the compound and where to stop for groceries. She personally met us when we arrived to show us the property and reminded us to contact her if we needed anything. One afternoon after we returned from a day trip, she invited us over for a glass of wine and graciously showed us her charming home, the oldest one in the compound. It is such a beautiful setting, seemingly away from everything, but close to grocery stores, restaurants and coffee shops, drug stores and boutiques. When we left after our week's stay, we immediately wished we had reserved Nxai's Place for a month. We intend to return soon."
