  • LABOR DAY WEEKEND 2016

"This weekend could not have been more perfect. Made so even more by the wonderful surroundings and hospitality of this place. The cabin was beautiful and very well maintained. Weather was gorgeous and the kids loved every second. From waking up in the morning to the deer and turkeys in the drive, to the beautiful sunsets and cool evenings on the deck by the fire. Shopping ziplining at Inn of the Mtn Gods, the history lessons at Fort Stanton, and the cool nights grilling on deck!.....It was an experience we will all cherish. Thanks so much for opening up your fabulous home to us. We will definitely pass the word on to friends and would love to come back and visit again. Cheers!! -Velasquez Family Amarillo, TX"

  • HIdden Gem in South Valley

"This rental is truly a home away from home. My husband and I were in ABQ for a combination work/vacation week and we were looking for a rental close to the conference site in Old Town that would allow us to cook in instead of eating out all week. This place was perfect with relatively easy access to downtown, airport, I-25/I-40, and Old Town. The house really feels like a home. It is nicely appointed with artwork, nice furniture, fresh flowers, and fully stocked kitchen as if someone lives there full time - everything we needed was available. The yard is secluded from the street with a high fence and the grounds are beautiful with gardens and big shade trees. A few cautions for things that did not bother us. The yard and claw foot tub shower combo are not suitable for anyone with limited mobility. Several neighbors, in this older, rural-like neighborhood had fowl, so expect roosters to crow at dawn. This is a well cared for, clean adobe house, however the electric is not updated so you can't expect to run several appliances at the same time. We used to live in a 100-year old craftman house so we found all of these features quite charming and had a very peaceful, restful week. Only complaint was the internet did not work through no fault of the owner - it was a new service (we were the first to try it) and the owner could not get the company in to check out the issues while we were there. Mary, the owner, lives next store and was extremely friendly and helpful. She obviously loves her property and enjoys interacting with her guests. We highly recommend this rental and it is among the very best places we have every rented and we have stayed in places all over the county."
