  • Great ski house

"We had a great stay over President's Day week. Two couples and kids fit comfortably in the cabin. It's close to skiing yet quiet and secluded. My kids spent a lot of time building snow caves and hanging out in the hot tub. The kitchen is well appointed and easy use. The skiing was great this year, parents and kids had a blast! Make sure you enjoy a lunch on the Bavarian deck which is close to the house. The cabin was clean, owners were easy to deal with and we will hopefully return next year."

  • We made an Excellent choice !!

"Our stay at Casa de Siesta was positively one of the very best accommodations we have experienced in all of our travels. The 'casita' was very well furnished, and very well equipped with every item we would ever need! Richard was a most gracious host; he met us upon arrival, welcomed us warmly, and gave us a thorough tour of the "home" we would enjoy for 9 nights. There is an abundance of literature/brochures of places to see in and around the area, as well as a large selection of books and historical information on the Albuquerque & New Mexico area. Richard insisted that we contact him for anything we needed, or any questions we had at all. It is obvious that Richard takes pride in insuring his guests are well rested, and informed about things to do, or places to go. The casita's kitchen in particular, has every conceivable item that you could ever need. A very pleasant stay, and most comfortable accommodation. We are most happy that we chose Richard's "home away from home" for our visit to New Mexico."

  • Stunning Mountain Views from an Amazing Property

"My husband and I and one other couple stayed in this beautiful house for five utterly, relaxing nights. As someone who stays in around 20 rental properties per year, I can say without hesitation that the Casita stands a cut above the rest. The house is well furnished with a fully stocked spice drawer and everything you need to make a good meal. After doing groceries in Espanola, we cooked and grilled out every night of our stay. The master room has one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in, including hotel quality sheets. I slept like a baby each night. The views from the house are so gorgeous you feel as though you're sitting in the middle of an epic, Western movie set. I could have happily stayed there all summer. If you're looking for peace and quiet in one of the most relaxing places in the U.S., I highly recommend this property. We especially enjoyed getting in the hot tub and walking down to jump in the lake. During our stay, I was training for a half-marathon, and I was able to run on the roads surrounding the property without problem, not to mention that the views on my runs were spectacular! There are a number of attractions within 30 minutes to an hour from the Casita that we really enjoyed visiting: the Echo Amphitheater, the Abiquiu Inn and O'Keeffe house, the Monastery of Christ in the Desert (beautiful drive to one of the most secluded monasteries in the U.S.), and of course, all of downtown Santa Fe. Carol is extremely responsive and friendly. She and her husband obviously take pride in their listing and genuinely care that you had a good stay. I can't wait to book from them again. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!"

  • Great home away from home!

"Cute, cozy and immediately welcoming. Three of us stayed at the casita and were quite comfortable with plenty of space for musical instruments and ski gear. Diana got in touch with me within hours, was wonderfully hospitable and accommodating in our last-minute plans to stay in Santa Fe. Great location, too! We took advantage of a great ski weekend and the lovely post-Christmas sights of Santa Fe. The well-stocked kitchen of the casita made cooking several meals easy, plus being located close to Whole Foods was convenient. We took advantage of good downtown restaurants as well (India Palace and Upper Crust Pizza). I would definitely recommend this property."
