  • Historical Property in a Beautiful Setting

"This is a unique historical home with an open floor plan. When we first saw the home we wondered about its history. The ceilings are high, beautiful vigas, a large upstairs loft, two fireplaces, a country kitchen, and a well stocked bathroom. The washer and dryer came in very handy. The yard is large, private, and has a fire ring. The night sky is clear and great for stargazing. It was very quiet and we all slept so well. It was a great place to bring our adventure oriented family. We have been to Questa many times. Usually we camp but decided we wanted to rent a home in Questa. We are New Mexico residents and the family who came to visit us is from the East Coast. They had a real New Mexico experience. So much to do: fishing, hiking, Valle Vidal, the Gorge, Latir Wilderness, excellent restaurants and shops in Red River and Taos, and the best burritos ever at the Chevron Station in Questa (no kidding!). We do plan to return and we would absolutely rent this home again. Thank You Patricia."

  • Tucked away yet easily accessible.

"We spent a week in this casita. It has an amazing privacy fence that really tucks it away from the street. The creek with all the trees creates a tranquil space. The kitchen has most any thing you would need to make meals. Bring food along or stop at the grocery store in town. The master bedroom was most comfortable. So great to stay in an adobe in New Mexico. Wifi worked well. We could easily research the places we wanted to see or eat at. Red River is a short drive and it's easy to get to Taos too. So much to do in the area that we will have to return. The neighbor across the street saw us out walking to the nearby fishing lake and shared some info on trails and roads in the area for great scenery. This was our first time booking a place in this manner. Patricia was very helpful answering questions and providing recommendations. If you need to know what is provided, just inquire before booking. We enjoyed this special property."

  • Loved it! Great attention to detail.

"This property isn't new and luxurious but excels at being cozy and sensibly outfitted with the essentials to provide a very comfortable stay at a reasonable price. It was very clean when we arrived. Details like a full spice rack and complementary bathroom soaps and shampoos were also greatly appreciated. The owner is responsive and deserves high marks for customer service. The location is great and the mountain is a blast! I hope to return again soon!!"

  • Lovely setting, big views, well-crafted dwelling and helpful owner

"What more could we ask for? We were so pleased to be in the Arroyo Seco area for a week of summer mountain hiking and exploring the Taos area. The casita was perfect for our needs. Walking distance to cafe and groceries. Comfortable, well-crafted and well cared for property. Peaceful in all respects. The Taos Cow cafe deserves the kudos as other reviewers have noted. We hope to be back."
