"What a wonderful way for us to enjoy our first visit to Santa Fe and northern New Mexico. The property is located in a very quiet, picturesque area just about 10 minutes outside of Santa Fe. We were close enough to go into town as often as we wanted but far enough away to enjoy some much needed solitude. Coming from a large city, we really appreciated getting away from noise and light pollution; being able to see the Milky Way at night was a pleasant treat.
The house itself is perfectly sized for 4 people with pretty much all of the conveniences of home: all expected appliances; a good sized, well fitted kitchen; plenty of linens, etc. Space-wise, the house is very comfortable with a large patio and outdoor dining area downstairs and wrap-around deck upstairs. Everything was clean, modern, and well-maintained.
Do note that the house does not have air conditioning (neither central A/C nor window units). I am sure that during much of the year, A/C is not necessary. During our stay, in July however, daytime temperatures were in the mid-90s which made for very warm evenings in the house. There are ample fans and plenty of air circulation when the windows are open, so we did not suffer.
The owner was attentive. He did check on us by phone shortly after our arrival to make sure that everything was acceptable. He also provided plenty of information about the house, its amenities, and the local area in a well organized visitors' notebook.
We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to go to Santa Fe. We hope to return in the future."
