  • Happy campers

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not really camping at all, the accommodations were very nice, but what we really enjoyed was the remote location of Tree Top Retreat. We loved hiking in the adjacent national forest and the sound of coyotes yapping. The patio provided an in-forest experience for eating and visiting while the upstairs provided a view of the mountains and Taos lights in the distance. The property was exactly as it appears in the photographs. We hope to return!"

  • Great Stay, Roomier than Expected!

"This is a very lovingly remodeled Adobe that feels like a home. It is way more spacious than the photos indicate and very comfortable, clean, etc. It was everything you would hope a vacation rental would be at its basic, and so much more. The layout of the place is well thought out for the most space, and our dog loved having the door to the patio in the master bedroom. We took advantage of the fire pit out back on the last night. Very nice. Was also nice sitting out on the front porch in the mornings and watching the cars buzz past and the people walking by. I was concerned about Siler being such a busy street, but it was never an issue. (Except for getting our Texas truck into the narrow opening for the driveway, but we soon learned to approach from the Smiths side, and that was no longer a problem. ) We pretty much walked everywhere we went in town: Taos Inn, Bent Street, Plaza, park, Smiths, Bellas, etc. (Walks usually averaged 10-15 minutes one-way.) Overall a lovely stay, and I would highly recommend this nice house. Especially if you have a group where most of the people don't mind sharing one large room for sleeping arrangements - the living room area and the private Master bedroom are perfect for folks with kids."

  • Amazing oasis

"We spent three nights in the tree house and really enjoyed ourselves. The Taos area is quite dry but the property lies in a green, fertile valley at the base of the mountains. Jun helped us settle in and offered to let us meet and feed her alpacas the next day. They are beautiful, curious animals and we spent time in the enclosure with Jun getting to know them and their habits. The property is well maintained and the pond directly outside the tree house is beautiful. A flock of wild ducks stops by for special treats Jun provides each evening. A couple of chairs at pond side make a relaxing place for a glass of wine after a day of sight seeing around Taos. Thanks Jun for a great stay with you."

  • Very nice home in Taos

"The home is nicely furnished inside with comfortable beds and a good supply of kitchen items for cooking inside. It's in a quiet location so leaving the windows open at night (in the summer) was a good way to cool the house. It does get a bit warm mid-day especially in the back bedrooms with no A/C, but they do cool off well at night when typical Taos temperatures drop into the 50s."
