  • Excellent

"Convenient location. Only complaint is that the driveway is walled and narrow and parking is tight. Very clean and has everything you need."

  • We second all the raves below

"We just returned home from a wonderful week at the Casa Luminosa. As previous reviewers have noted, the unit is extremely well located, well equipped, quiet and comfortable. We loved watching the sunrise in the morning and set in the evenings we stayed in. We highly recommend this VRBO to others."

  • Peaceful and Relaxing

"Our second visit to Shining Sun Casita was as wonderful as our first, last November. Just as advertised, all the amenities are taken care of - bedroom with a comfortable queen bed and dressers/chests to unpack you luggage, a large closet to store extra items, cozy bathroom with a wonderful shower, and a kitchen stocked with all the basic equipment for a home-cooked meal. As it was just the two of us, we had no need for the linens provided for the living room futon-sofa, but we both felt it was comfortable the night we opened it up to lounge while watching a movie. Although we spent most of our time hiking and sightseeing in and around Santa Fe, the TV with DirecTV service was enjoyable when we wanted to laze away a few hours in the evening. There was no need for the wood stove to heat the casita in May, but firewood was provided in case things turned cool. The great cottonwood tree just outside the casita provided cooling shade for porch sitting. And our dog loved all the smells and sounds of the barnyard just beyond the casita. All in all, this is a fantastic place to make your home base while exploring Santa Fe, Los Alamos, Bandelier National Monument, the Sangre de Cristos Mountains, Santa Fe National Forest, and points beyond. On this visit, we took in all of the above, as well as Fort Union National Monument. There is no shortage of great places to eat, but be prepared to drive to get there. And if you like to try your luck, there are numerous tribe-operated casinos nearby."

  • Great location and nice size casita.

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is my third time staying in a property run by this management company. They are extremely reliable, and all of their properties are exactly as described. This casita was perfect for my needs. It had a nice living room, good kitchen, and comfortably sized bedroom. The location was close to downtown Santa Fe and very close to the DeVargas Mall."
