  • Santa Fe at the railyard

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location to the downtown. Property issue: Screens were missing from master bedroom and kitchen. The kitchen window couldn't be open. I think the AC filter needed to be changed since AC motor was a little loud. There was a broken tree branches overhanging the property but neighbors took care of it late in the rental period. the master bathroom had leaking faucets. The master bed pillows were not adequate and had buy new ones."

  • Peaceful, secluded retreat with inspiring views

"My husband and I just spent the most relaxing long weekend we've had in some time thanks to this house. Secluded in the Tesuque hills, this quaint guest house offered beautiful views, a sky full of stars without light pollution and a comfortable private retreat for those looking to get away. We didn't have the pleasure of meeting William or Gabrielle, and I know our pup would have loved Bacio's company, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely be back. We ate breakfast each morning on the expansive patio, complete with resident hummingbird who greeted us each day, and I enjoyed the deep bathtub and being able to look out on the trees through the windows situated next to the tub. My husband preferred the shower and it's unbelievable water pressure (seriously, it was awesome!!). Five minutes to downtown, across the highway from the opera, and just a quick jaunt down the hill to Tesuque Village Market for a pizza and wine, this house has it all--you won't be disappointed."

  • The perfect place for the Hansen family to relax, unwind and enjoy Santa Fe. My husband and I were

"very familiar with the Santa Fe area as he graduated with his Masters from the University of New Mexico and we spent many weekends in Santa Fe, but that was 35 years ago. We were looking for a place where our family (our two sons, wives and grandchildren could go and be away from the city a bit, have enough space to be able to get away from each other if needed and have a beautifully set up kitchen so that we could cook some of our evening meals in. From the pictures, I expected a very nice home, but was not prepared for the the way the home was set up for visitors...there were extras of everything, spices, etc. extra towels, beach towels and even shampoo, etc. in each bathroom. We so enjoyed the outdoor spaces which are numerous and all give you a different view of either the mountains or the favorite was the small patio off the dining room where I enjoyed coffee in the morning. The kids loved the big front patio and spent lots of time out there playing with their toys and outdoor games. We will definitely keep this place in mind as our family grows and we need to get away especially in the summer months when the Texas summer heat is so brutal. The mornings of 60 degrees were heaven! Oh yes, the hummingbirds. We have them at our home, but they don't normally come in as frequently as they did at the house once we got the feeders set up...they were fun for everyone to watch in the mornings and the evenings."

  • Peaceful and Relaxing

"Our second visit to Shining Sun Casita was as wonderful as our first, last November. Just as advertised, all the amenities are taken care of - bedroom with a comfortable queen bed and dressers/chests to unpack you luggage, a large closet to store extra items, cozy bathroom with a wonderful shower, and a kitchen stocked with all the basic equipment for a home-cooked meal. As it was just the two of us, we had no need for the linens provided for the living room futon-sofa, but we both felt it was comfortable the night we opened it up to lounge while watching a movie. Although we spent most of our time hiking and sightseeing in and around Santa Fe, the TV with DirecTV service was enjoyable when we wanted to laze away a few hours in the evening. There was no need for the wood stove to heat the casita in May, but firewood was provided in case things turned cool. The great cottonwood tree just outside the casita provided cooling shade for porch sitting. And our dog loved all the smells and sounds of the barnyard just beyond the casita. All in all, this is a fantastic place to make your home base while exploring Santa Fe, Los Alamos, Bandelier National Monument, the Sangre de Cristos Mountains, Santa Fe National Forest, and points beyond. On this visit, we took in all of the above, as well as Fort Union National Monument. There is no shortage of great places to eat, but be prepared to drive to get there. And if you like to try your luck, there are numerous tribe-operated casinos nearby."
