  • Perfect for families visiting Santa Fe area

"I have stayed in this beautiful house TWICE since finding it in 2013, and will absolutely be back. First with my family (party of 7 adults & 3 kids), then with my in-laws (party of 6 adults & 3 kids). Both families were just blown away by the space and comfort of the house for our groups. The first visit was over a weekend in late May which was quite cool and rainy, so we got to utilize the fireplace in the kitchen/family room area. We cooked and ate, played games at the large dining table, ventured out to sight see and the kids took advantage of the huge jetted tub in the master bath! The more recent visit was in late June and was quite a bit warmer... which alerted me to the fact that there is no AC in the house. It made for a couple slightly stuffy afternoons coming home, but once the windows were opened and the fans going (there is at least one tower fan in each room) a breeze caught and it was lovely. We also used the back porch a lot more since it was so nice out. On both visits we made some amazing meals in the big kitchen there! The gas stove lacks some power (took forever to just boil water!) but everything else works like new. All the pans, utensils and place settings you need are there. We had little kids in our party and they just loved the house, too. Rabbits, big beetles and lizards abound in the garden - lots to explore. We were even visited by a bobcat one morning, and deer another evening as well. Everyone had lots of room to spread out and get comfortable. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean and the wifi was good. Getting to/from down town was super easy. It was fun trying new wines, cooking with fun spice mixes and not having to deal with restaurants at every meal. I do wish we could have paid with a credit card without a fee, but maybe in the future that will change :-) LOVE CASA MARTITA!!"

  • Welcome Respite

"We stayed at this quaint adobe casita while visiting family in Santa Fe. It was a nice alternative to a hotel room. The hot tub was most welcome after long days of sightseeing and family get togethers. While we did not have much opportunity to cook at "home," the grill was very super-convenient and kitchen supplies well stocked. We found that the internet connection was intermittent; it was strong in the early morning and at night, but not so much during the in-between hours for some reason. I did notice a moderate sewer-like odor at times, but it didn't bother us enough to seek-out the home owners. The casita is adjacent to the main house, but that doesn't interfere with the casita's privacy. We met Angela only briefly, and she was kind enough to leave some fresh lettuce and arugula from her garden; very thoughtful and delicious. The highlight of our weekend was a 2-hour sunset horseback trail ride at Broken Saddle Riding Co. in Cerrillos, recommended by Jason. Getting out into the mountains on a horse will give you a wonderfully different perspective of the area. We definitely would stay at the casita again."

  • Cozy comfy home with an amazing view.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We had six people staying which included my husband and I, my mother and father and our two teenage boys. The upstairs was perfect for me and my husband and our two teenage boys. There are two queen size beds upstairs along with a rollout bed. My parents slept downstairs on the two twin beds. The staircase was a little bit too hard for my mother to use and so she opted to stay downstairs. The kitchen is supplied with dishes and most everything you would need to make a simple meal. We enjoyed being away from town with a beautiful view but also being close enough to where we did not have a very long drive If we decided we wanted to venture downtown. The driveway to get to the home is a little steep but we had no problem at all maneuvering it. The owners are very helpful and are very close if any problems arise. We would definitely stay here again."

  • Very quaint casita

"We really enjoyed our stay. There was fresh flowers throughout the house and attention to details. The only thing I wish we had was a stove. We made due with the toaster oven and microwave. Gated community, felt very safe. Directions given were spot on. It's outside the town, but close enough to drive into town. Bed very comfortable. There was an extra $99 insurance deposit we had to pay that I thought was expensive and unnecessary. Maybe instead a deposit that can be refunded? I would stay there again. ."
