  • charming and comfortable with wonderful views

"I loved this little cottage. The views were wonderful and the cottage was so charming..just what you would imagine a casita in Santa Fe would be. The house had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. We were greeted with music , a bottle of wine, and delicious brownies (thank you Donna!) Our dogs also loved the cottage and were even provided with toys to play with. All of the rooms are nicely decorated with items collected over the years. We ate at the Tesuque village market and the food was good, but if you need groceries go into Santa Fe. The owners are very nice but give you privacy. We had a great time, would highly recommend, and would stay here again."

  • The perfect spot! A cozy, private haven within walking distance of great restaurants, & shopping.

"My husband and I just returned from a two week stay at Casa La Vita; it suited us perfectly. The layout is open, yet cozy. It is comfortably furnished and has some wonderful examples southwestern artwork. While the casa is part of a complex and shares a common courtyard, we found it to be both quiet and private. There are several lovely spots to sit and relax including the two balconies and the walled garden off the master suite. Another asset is that the views from the kitchen, dining room, and sitting area face west affording a great view of some wonderful sunsets. The master bedroom suite is quite large with a huge closet including a washer and dryer tucked into one corner - very convenient! While staying here, we often walked to the local shops, museums, and restaurants. Although we had a car it was nice not to have to worry about parking. The walk back to the casa does include an uphill stint on Otero. We noticed it, but it wasn’t that much of a challenge – and were senior citizens. In addition to visiting the local sites, like the Georgia O'Keefe Museum and the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture (both highly recommended), we also went on some longer forays. Bandelier National Monument, Ghost Ranch, Los Alamos, Taos, the Earthship Biotecture, and the Turquoise Trail were adventures easily accomplished within a day. Often after having spent the day exploring, we decided to return to the sanctuary of the casa and have dinner in the comfort of "our home". We found the kitchen had everything we needed rather we were just having coffee in the morning or making dinner in the evening. An added plus to all of this is Richard. Whenever we had a question he always got right back to us with just what we needed to know. Next time we are in Santa Fe we will definitely return to Casa La Vita!"
