  • Charming-Eclectic-Cozy-Well Appointed

"The long dirt driveway into the property promises discovery and surprises which are delivered. The charming adobe main house has a flower lined patio, complete with fireplace, benches & chairs, dining table, firewood, and festive lighting. The interior is tastefully decorated feeling homey and interesting. There are plenty of books to read or peruse, decor that reflects time spent choosing the pieces, dining plates etc. are top end and there is everything you'd need to make fabulous meals or snacks. The bedrooms where comfortable, but it was odd that they did not have any doors for privacy (hence the 4 stars). Loved the grounds, discovering other sleeping areas with a bonus hot tub and tree house. It was great to have the run of the property. It is a quiet retreat that is worth more that a day's stay."

  • Great dog friendly adobe in Arroyo Seco

"Rented Kitty's casita from Aug. 5th - 8th of this year. The pictures looked great and the actual rental, even better. The adobe casita sits on the back of Kitty's property and is very private. Large fenced in yard for our dogs, they loved it. The hot tub was a great way to chill and relax after a long day. The main level consists of the living area and kitchen with the bathroom around the side hallway where there is a large closet for hanging clothing as well as shelves. The stairs up to the bedroom area are rather steep, and the dogs did not want to venture up. The bedroom , which is a loft is very comfortable with plenty of storage in the dresser. The area surrounding the adobe is very quiet and peaceful. It is just a short 2 mile drive into Arroyo Seco, and Taos is just another easy 9 mile drive down the road. We thought we had made a mistake staying so far out of Taos, but it ended up being the main reason we will return again. Thank you Kitty for letting stay in your casita, we will be returning soon."

  • Walk to Town

"If you are in Taos and want to be fairly close to town, this is a great place to stay if you don't mind a bit of a walk. Very spacious and clean. Bed slept great! Hot tub was wonderful but it is "shared" with the other rental below. We didn't mind because no one else was interested in it so that was nice at the end of the day. The kitchen was great because we like to take our own groceries and fix breakfast and a mid-day meal. If you are out in the evening, take a flashlight with you because it is a pretty dark path once you get away from town. We always felt safe though and actually enjoyed the walk. Most everything you will need is furnished for you if you need minimal supplies. Be sure and take anything you need (other than TP) for the bathroom. Being from Texas, we love the cool breeze at night but there were really only two windows to in the bathroom and one over the sink in the kitchen. A window unit will keep you cool, but if you like the night air, you might skip this one. All in all we were pleased and will keep this rental in mind when we return to Taos. Thank you to our hosts for sharing!"

  • Earthship Getaway!

"My husband and I had a fantastic time spending a weekend in the Earthship! The unique space is the perfect place to explore the forest, bird watch, and be your base of operations for exploring Taos (or just staying in enjoying the house like we did basically all weekend). The cave rooms are a unique, fun place to sleep and give a great vantage point to watch the sun come up from the floor to ceiling windows. Almost everywhere in the house has beautiful views of the forest - complete with hummingbirds! We can't wait to go back - the house is perfect for a fun getaway!"
