  • Fun and funky - perfect for two!

"What a fun and funky casita! Adobe style with mudded walls, tile floor (look for the little peculiar ones here and there!), and 2 fireplaces! Bed was super comfortable - best bed I've slept on in all of my travels. Plenty of pillows and blankets. Chairs and couch were very comfortable as well - perfect for après ski when you are too tired to do anything but fall onto the couch! Lots of storage areas for all your gear, plus plenty of freezer and fridge space for all the hippy food available at the grocery store. The casita overall, is very cozy, warm, and inviting. Owner was very nice, extremely easy to contact, and left perfect instructions and hints for anything you can imagine. Surprisingly simple to find and an easy drive to Taos Ski Valley. Just a straight shot! Also just moments away from Arroyo Seco - an interesting community with little shops and eateries. Plan on staying again for our next TSV trip!"

  • Highly recommended ecclectic place with beautiful views!

"Casa de Cuentos is a unique experience. We have been going to Taos annually for five years and this house had everything - a good size kitchen, different sitting areas to fit your mood, outdoor fire pit and hot tub. The Rooster Bar was an added bonus and the 360-degree views from the Artists' Loft are wonderful! The house is large enough to accommodate a good sized group and still maintain privacy. The property is fairly isolated and we did not experience any distractions from neighbors. The hot tub was serviced while we were there, so that was very nice. You will have to drive a short distance to get to hiking trails and other outdoor experiences. Downtown Taos is about 10 to 15 minutes away. Great spot if you want to access the ski resort but want to be outside the hustle and bustle. Overall - great experience!"

  • Absolute Heaven

"Our second stay here at Casa De Luz. We can't wait to return for another visit. This is by far the best house for pet owners. Such a wonderful yard, fenced, grassed and safe. For us, it has everything we needed. Peaceful, quite, comfortable and cozy. I've spent my birthday here two times, and was so happy to do so. I recommend this house to anyone who needs peace and quite, pet owners and those that just want to be halfway close to all activities in Taos yet still enjoy the fabulous views. Sharon is so thoughtful. Not only did we enjoy the bottle of wine she left for us (great choice too) our pups enjoyed their little treats as well. I want to add, we have stayed here in Taos/Arroyo Seco area every summer for the past 22 years. Many houses rented here, mostly in the prestigious Los Altos development. This home is so much more friendly, comfortable and hospitable. This is the way to have a vacation."

  • Great dog friendly adobe in Arroyo Seco

"Rented Kitty's casita from Aug. 5th - 8th of this year. The pictures looked great and the actual rental, even better. The adobe casita sits on the back of Kitty's property and is very private. Large fenced in yard for our dogs, they loved it. The hot tub was a great way to chill and relax after a long day. The main level consists of the living area and kitchen with the bathroom around the side hallway where there is a large closet for hanging clothing as well as shelves. The stairs up to the bedroom area are rather steep, and the dogs did not want to venture up. The bedroom , which is a loft is very comfortable with plenty of storage in the dresser. The area surrounding the adobe is very quiet and peaceful. It is just a short 2 mile drive into Arroyo Seco, and Taos is just another easy 9 mile drive down the road. We thought we had made a mistake staying so far out of Taos, but it ended up being the main reason we will return again. Thank you Kitty for letting stay in your casita, we will be returning soon."
