  • Great place to stay in historic Taos!

"I stayed in the casita for two nights and the location near the Taos Plaza, shops and restaurants could not have been better. I stayed there with my dog and we had a great time walking all around historic Taos and around Kit Carson park, which is about a block away. It was great to be able to walk everywhere and not hassle with parking. I highly recommend the small casita for 1-2 people due to there being only one shower and bathroom sink, as well as only one queen bed and one single bed. There is a larger house on the property that can accommodate larger groups. The casita location is on a shared property along an alley and other properties are somewhat close, but it was very quiet both during the day and night. No neighbor noise or barking dogs, which was great! The casita is very clean and comfortable. Some things, like towels and pots/pans, could use replacing with newer items, but the cost, location, cleanliness and niceness of the unit cannot be beat. Yavanne, who manages the property for David, was very quick to respond to any questions about the unit. I highly recommend staying at the casita for 1-2 people!"

  • Fantastic!

"This was like home away from home! We loved the comfortable king sized bed, big kitchen and ample furniture. Our friends were full of compliments for the tasteful decor from the wall colors to the artistic pieces. We liked being able to walk to the grocery store and downtown Plaza to enjoy the variety of eateries, entertainment and shopping opportunities. Cheers!"

  • Hidden treasure in Taos

"The Casa Montoya is a definite taste of Taos. It is a comfortable stay. Ellen keeps the property well equipped that the guest feels welcome. We have stayed in other type of rentals in Taos and this was the best. We love that it is off the main streets but walking distance to galleries, restaurants and the Plaza. We even felt save walking at night to and from the house. My husband and I hope to back someday."

  • Relax and feel at home

"Just what we needed after traveling through the 4 Corners area. The vista is breathtaking for sure, but it always changing which made this home special. The Sangre de Christo mountain range could entertain you all day. To the west is the Rio Grande gorge. Not just the bridge, but just down the road from the casita....natural hot springs. A hike and climb back up but the springs are worth the trip. Of course Taos and all it has to offer for any personality is a 6 mile drive. Our hosts gave us the name of some very good places to eat and for me...the art. This casita has everything you need and it is spotless. What you see in the pictures are my exact memories of this little home away from home. Thanks for sharing Janelle and Tony."
