  • Great Stay at the Lucky Dog Casa

"My wife and I spent 3 nights over the 4th of July at the Lucky Dog Casa. It was a very cozy house with all the basic amenities that you would need. The kitchen had all the basics plus a toaster, crock pot, and some seasonings that were left by other people that spent the night. I would recommend going to the local market called Cids and take advantage of cooking inside the house. If anyone's looking for a dog friendly hike, we really enjoyed the Columbine Trail East of Questa. Definitely worth checking out. We will be back to visit and make sure you enjoy an amazing sunset out on the patio. Picture perfect!"

  • Fantastic!

"We had a great experience from the time we inquired about booking until the end of our vacation. The house is exactly as described and provided a comfortable and warm place to spend quality family time when we were not on the ski slopes. The location was perfect as it was close to town and Taos Ski Valley. The caretaker was responsive to all of our questions and in planning our arrival. We hope to be back next year!"

  • Paradise in Arroyo Seco

"The nine days I spent at Kitty's Casita in Arroyo Seco (5 miles outside of Taos) were thoroughly delightful---everything I'd hoped for in a 'retreat' and base for reconnecting with the magic of Taos after 22 years away. Kitty was a wonderful host; I especially appreciated her thoughtfulness in checking to see whether I was home before mowing the lawn or bringing in a service person. She was both friendly and respectful of my privacy. The Casita itself is darling and lovingly tended. Clean, comfortable, well- appointed, and with cooling shade trees in the backyard. The new hot tub was great--though I will say it would have been preferred had the heating element not run nearly perpetually; personally, I much prefer the lovely quiet of the surrounding area, sans hot tub noise! Just my preference. The only other 'heads up' to an otherwise glowing and appreciative stay ( and review) is that the steps to the sleeping loft are very (!) steep; wise to hold both of those hand rails and not to try to carry too many things up/ down at a given time. All-in-all, I HIGHLY recommend Kitty's Casita; it was tough to leave and I look forward to returning!"

  • 2016 Retreat

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our fifth stay at this property and as before it was all it was advertised to be. The property is unique in location, design and views. All but two categories get a gold star. We had stayed in summer previously and the weather was always cool. This time the weather was not cool and the house is not air conditioned so temps got up to 90 degrees in the daytime inside. The house design incorporates steel roofing components that expand when hot and contract when cooling and the process results in "creaking and popping sounds late into the night. I would highly recommend the property for winter stays."
