  • Excellent accommodations and Hospitality.

"We really enjoyed staying at the guesthouse in Taos and will return on our next visit. The hospitality which was given by Burt was exceptional. He also gave us many excellent recommendations of very good restaurants as well as the Harwood Museum which to visit. Thank You for a great visit to Taos. Perry & Helen"

  • Location and Value

"It IS the best deal in Taos--I give this rental five stars not because it is perfect, but because it is an amazing value in a great part of town. The neighborhood is just off the main drag, but is pretty, and quiet, and easily walkable to the Plaza. We felt completely safe walking home after dark--while the entrance is in an alley, it runs between very nice, well-maintained homes. We only got in the car when our destination was outside the city limits. The living area is plenty big for two, with a nice kitchen, coffee maker, Cable TV, air conditioner when needed, and a comfortable bed. The bath has a shower stall (no tub), and enough room. There is a skylight and windows on three walls that let in lots of natural light. We didn't get to meet our hosts, but they made everything seamless and easy. For the price, you would expect some imperfections, and there are some rough edges (a broken window frame, some odd interior carpentry, a funky shower head, etc.), but for us, nothing that actually detracts from the usefulness and comfort of the rental. If you crave perfection, go elsewhere, but expect to pay twice as much or more. If you crave a safe, tidy, livable home base for exploring Taos on foot, don't spend more. Rent this one."

  • Relaxing and Renewing

"What a delightful time we had staying in the Casita. After our trek from OK, it was pleasant to be greeted by Ed and Melissa, who were quite welcoming and helpful with information about Taos and the area. We appreciated their recommendations regarding particularly good dining spots and the useful details only locals can give you about the tourist sights. The Casita was comfortable and clean, we slept well on the supportive mattress and found the casita to be well equipped for our cooking needs. It was just the right size for a couple. We have highly praised the Casita and its location to our friends and family. Our intention is to return for more relaxation and see more Taos sights. If you go don't miss the Pueblo, the Plaza, Taos Inn(Adobe Bar), Harwood Museum, St Francis Asis Church and a trek in the Carson National Forest."
