  • Perfect Getaway Spot!

"What a fun space! We spent 3 nights in this rental last week & it was better than we expected. First, the location could not be better - only a couple minutes walk to the plaza. And when you step into the casita you feel as though you have stepped into another world - the decor is what I would call a good kind of "quirky." The pictures on the website portray the space accurately, but they can't do it justice. You have to see it in person to get the full effect. It takes awhile to take it all in and you discover new things over the course of your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom has both a tub and shower. The trundle bed is very comfortable should you need to use it. Great internet service and cable tv. The only issue we had was that the thermostat for the heat was locked and we could not adjust the temperature, so it got a little nippy inside after the sun went down (easily corrected but something you should ask about.) Also, you need to be able to climb a rather steep spiral staircase to get to the bedroom, so keep that in mind (not a negative for most folks, but something to keep in mind if you have trouble with steps.) This was a wonderful, reasonably priced place which we thoroughly enjoyed. We highly recommend it."

  • Great Stay, Roomier than Expected!

"This is a very lovingly remodeled Adobe that feels like a home. It is way more spacious than the photos indicate and very comfortable, clean, etc. It was everything you would hope a vacation rental would be at its basic, and so much more. The layout of the place is well thought out for the most space, and our dog loved having the door to the patio in the master bedroom. We took advantage of the fire pit out back on the last night. Very nice. Was also nice sitting out on the front porch in the mornings and watching the cars buzz past and the people walking by. I was concerned about Siler being such a busy street, but it was never an issue. (Except for getting our Texas truck into the narrow opening for the driveway, but we soon learned to approach from the Smiths side, and that was no longer a problem. ) We pretty much walked everywhere we went in town: Taos Inn, Bent Street, Plaza, park, Smiths, Bellas, etc. (Walks usually averaged 10-15 minutes one-way.) Overall a lovely stay, and I would highly recommend this nice house. Especially if you have a group where most of the people don't mind sharing one large room for sleeping arrangements - the living room area and the private Master bedroom are perfect for folks with kids."

  • Wonderful vacation in the perfect spot

"We just enjoyed a few days with comfort, peace, and quiet. This is a great location with a short walk to shops. The cozy house is well stocked with everything we needed. It is so clean and I have to say, very comfy beds. We used the restaurant suggestions listed in a notebook by the owners. All excellent choices. The owners were very easy to work with. They want to share their home and make their visitors feel comfortable. It worked!"

  • Cute house! Good location

"The house was very clean and cozy. The owner met us there and was friendly and helpful. We appreciated the starter groceries and info on local restaurants. The house is small but well laid out with a large master suite and open floor plan. The deck and hot tub were perfect after a long day in the mountains. Location was perfect, 5 minute drive to the foot of the mountains and 15 minutes to Taos. We would highly recommend this house to any smaller group, it's perfect for 4 adults or 2 adults and 4 kids."
