  • Super nice house with room for everyone

"I have mostly all good things to say about this house, with only a handful of Small issues that are in no way deal breakers, but things that i believe can be easily fixed. Let me get the little things out of the way first: 1. There is a spiral staircase that leads up to the second floor bonus room. this staircase is very narrow and a bit scary. the frame is metal and it wobbles a bit, is coming apart at one or two seams, has areas that are rotted away and have been "patched" with bars. the stairs themselves feel very unstable. if you are not very balanced on your feet i would suggest just not going upstairs if you can help it. 2. In that upstairs bonus room it was very hot, and actually too warm in the bedrooms too. You'll find that the thermostats all over the house have labels asking you to not touch them. It's understandable the owner wouldn't want people messing with them, however they should have all been set much cooler since it was a warm week. 3. When we arrived, the bonus room upstairs had dead flies all over the carpet everywhere (and a few other little bugs), especially along the edges of the floor. as we knew kids would be up there, probably in bare feet, my husband went in search of a vacuum to get rid of them before anyone else arrived. 4. I'm not sure the cleaning crew cleaned the showers/tubs before we arrived as we found hair in a couple of them. Aside from those things i will say, this house is beautiful. it's so very southwest which is what we wanted. there was bed space for everyone (11 of us) and the beds were comfy. we Loved having the pool table, and were able to watch all our shows on netflix movies and the World Series with no problem. All the bedrooms have tv's which was nice. We had no trouble using the keypad/codes to get in. There is a community indoor pool on the street and the kids loved that. the bathrooms are spacious. all the essentials in the kitchen so we could cook. the owner was prompt and friendly with answering all my messages. the home is out of the way from town, on the way to the Taos Ski Valley. the drive into Taos was MAYBE 20 minutes if that, and didn't ever feel like a long drive. It was a great location. There were also 3 gorgeous horses from the property next door who would come by in the mornings to say hello and pose for pictures. I would definitely recommend this place for a family/group and hope to stay again myself sometime!"

  • Great Condo

"We give a big thumbs-up to this condo in Las Cruces. The condo was clean, comfortable, and well provisioned. Nancy was very attentive, suggesting things to do and places to eat. The proximity to Mesilla with it's old plaza and shops was a daily, walking destination for us. Another must is the Farmer's and Craft Market on Saturday mornings in Las Cruces. The weather can't be beat. This is a great winter vacation location that we can highly recommend. We will return next year."

  • Birthday Gathering

"My family and I had a wonderful time at the Mansion while celebrating my birthday. From the first contact to the moment of departure, we were shown every courtesy. The house is beautiful, comfortable and was extremely clean. Our family spent most of the days outside in the pool and lovely yard. We appreciated the ability to park our vehicles in the garage. The bathroom baskets containing toothpaste, brushes, razors and the like was a nice touch. My family can't wait to return."

  • College Reunion for 6 Girlfriends

"What a great find. We were originally looking for a place near the plaza due to issues with a couple of girls not being able to walk long distances. We decided to go to 5 Vista Coyote instead and try to park close to the Plaza when visiting. We were quite surprised by how close we were to town and did not hesitate to jump into our rented Suburban to go to town or do some grocery shopping. We never had a problem finding parking spaces near the Plaza. Our group loved the house. It was huge and allowed for multiple seating areas for us to chat, either indoors or outdoors. Back porch had amazing views while side porch had weather protection when the nights were cooler. Great living room and dining room to sit as well. The kitchen was really well stocked as was the laundry accommodations when needed. Owner Connie sent us very detailed information on the house as well as the restaurants and things to do. We all felt that we would share this site with any friends visiting Santa Fe. I have been to several VRBO rentals and this one meets the high standards that I have come to love with VRBO."
