  • Winter Wonderland @ Ford Bear Lodge

"Ford Bear Lodge is an incredible, wonderful place. Our two family team of 10 had an immensely comfortable and enjoyable stay. It was snowing non-stop and absolutely freezing outside but the radiant floor heating and the awesome fireplace kept us Texans very warm. The view of the mountains from the deck is like something out of a magazine. And did it snow... wow! We had a great time sliding down the hill in the back and building score forts. And the skiing at Angel Fire was fantastic. Great slopes and great people. And finishing the day off in that awesome hot tub was icing on the cake. The Lodge is simply great. And the owners and caretakers are equally so. Bring your camera, bring your gloves, be ready for an incredible time!"

  • Great Property, Decompress

"Whether you stay 3 nights or a month, you are staying in warm surroundings. Warm home with all you need to cook and be comfortable. We drank coffee and watched prarie dogs, rabbits and humming birds in the mornings. Lights out in the hot tub and you can see every star in the sky at night. Centrally located to ski valley, Taos and the bridge. Great for a large family or 3 couples retreat. Owners decorated wonderfully."

  • Relax and feel at home

"Just what we needed after traveling through the 4 Corners area. The vista is breathtaking for sure, but it always changing which made this home special. The Sangre de Christo mountain range could entertain you all day. To the west is the Rio Grande gorge. Not just the bridge, but just down the road from the casita....natural hot springs. A hike and climb back up but the springs are worth the trip. Of course Taos and all it has to offer for any personality is a 6 mile drive. Our hosts gave us the name of some very good places to eat and for me...the art. This casita has everything you need and it is spotless. What you see in the pictures are my exact memories of this little home away from home. Thanks for sharing Janelle and Tony."
