  • Everything and More!

"The goal of our trip was to experience a very relaxing staycation, and we definitely achieved just that. The cabin was perfect for what we had in mind. The property was secluded enough that there was no noise or distractions; we saw a variety of wildlife including humming birds, blue jays, chipmunks, deer and turkeys; we had plenty of space to do whatever we wanted. The cabin was clean and cozy, and provided everything we needed for our stay. It was chilly enough a couple of nights that we got to take advantage of the amazingly beautiful fireplace, which is surprisingly easy to operate. The owners went above and beyond when we booked our stay as well! I highly recommend this property, and will definitely book again for our next staycation if the cabin is available. Thanks again for sharing your piece of paradise with us, we appreciate it very much!"

  • Peaceful location near town and hiking trails

"Casita de la Paz was a very nice place to stay. I received good directions to find the place and get there. It's clean and modern, yet is set in the mountains like a cozy cabin. Even though it only sleeps two, it feels very spacious with plenty of room. (A third person would have to sleep on the futon or couch in living room.) Furnishings were all nice and updated; the kitchen is very well-stocked with pots, pans and utensils. The location was perfect for me -- 2 min drive to Ten Thousand Waves Spa; 5-7 min drive to the Plaza; and, very close to a number of hiking/biking trails just down the road. You definitely need a car to get around. The few things giving this a 4 rating instead of a 5 were: 1) no window treatments on the bedroom windows made it a little creepy for a female by herself; 2) the bathroom doesn't have counter space to put in eye contacts, etc. where you need a sink and mirror; 3) no dishwasher. These were minor details (except the window treatments) that certainly didn't impact my stay in a negative way. I would stay at Casita de la Paz again."

  • Peaceful and Serene Get Away

"Casita de Chuparosa is a jewel set in a stunning landscape. Made all the more special by your host. The perfect antidote when the world becomes too hectic and chaotic. The two bedroom attached casita is well appointed with a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable sitting areas. Each window and both outside seating areas offer a beautiful vista. The area is very quiet, the skies are magical both by day and night. There is a lot of hiking and just walking in the area. There are mini burros and a horse to pet and pamper, as well as many bird antics to watch. The proprietor, Jeff, is welcoming and attentive, a font of information and works very hard to cater to each guest and make each visit special. The hospitality is unmatched in my experience of travel. Sitting in the hot tub under the Milky Way watching a meteor shower and later a moonrise is one of the memories I hope to always carry with me."

  • Rejuvenate your mind and spirit

"I absolutely loved my stay at Sandy's Cabin!! The immense beauty of seeing the mountains, the forest and wildlife while on the deck is one of the most relaxing times that I have ever experienced! Everything is included so that you just sit back, relax and watch the scenery or entertain yourself with cards, games or reading. That was the best night's sleep that I have had for a very long time!! I feel rejuvenated in my mind and in my spirit!! :) So looking forward to my next stay at Sandy's Cabin!!"
