  • Lots of room away from town

"Beautiful country, views and places to go hiking in the area. Great restaurants and activities in Ruidoso just down the road. Great old house. Price is good. Lots of nooks and sitting areas inside and out for gathering. Great kitchen. Great internet. Needs deep cleaning. Lots of dust in fabric and under furniture. Terrible pet smell. Had to take kitchen rugs outside. Towels and linens clean but some stains and holes. Kitchen sink needs maintenance. If it is over 80 degrees, be prepared for a very hot afternoon. The living area especially gets almost unbearably hot. Cooled down by bedtime. Front step has loose tile and high step that could be dangerous. Be sure to bring soap and basic items. Overall would stay there again, but would make sure the temperatures were not supposed to get over 85."

  • An extra "Location" for this wonderful place

"It is usually, "Location, Location, Location", but I'll add another "Location". I was in Santa Fe to see Operas in the evening and touring during the day. The apartment is about 7 miles form the Opera House and easy to get there from the apartment. As advertised, it is close to the Railyard- 15 minute walk, to the Plaza and to all the museums in the Santa Fe area. As I am a vegetarian, it was very nice to be literally a minute from Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. The house was maintained beautifully and the kitchen had everything one would need. The owner's are incredibly responsible and helpful and answer immediately on any concerns. This was a great place and a great rental and I'd go back again if I come back to Santa Fe without hesitation."

  • Awesome casita for two!!!!

"My wife and I live in Albuquerque. I was looking for a convenient one-night getaway for her birthday. This casita was amazing. Perfect for two people and we brought our dog. The small yard is fenced, there is an Icelandic horse next door, and dogs Hannah & Max are there to greet you from the main house. You have a nice mountain view from your porch and the casita has everything you need for a short visit. The bed is comfy, the fireplace is great and everything in the casita is clean, well-appointed and very inviting. We felt very much at home and had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this casita, both to locals and out-of-towners. There is a winery down the street and you are very close to all the activities in Corrales, which is a neat little town. Enjoy!!!!"

  • Quiet and pretty house and not far from the town.

"We enjoyed our stay at the Casita de la Paz. The home was just the way it was pictured. We appreciated being allowed an early check-in time, and we had no problems entering the house and settling in. The kitchen was equipped nicely, and it was very convenient to all the things we wanted to see in Santa Fe and northern NM. The shower was nice also. The art on the wall is a matter of taste (not what we would put in our home), the bed was much firmer than we liked, and some of the windows were so sticky to open that we gave up trying. The lack of a dishwasher meant that some of the dishes in the cupboard were not clean. Those are minor complaints though; everything else in the house worked well, and it was a pretty and quiet retreat. I would recommend it to my friends."
