  • Perfect Family Tradition

"We have rented Lakeside for the past ten years for two weeks each time. It has been the perfect gathering place for extended family and friends. Beautiful setting, clean, spacious, the house and the property have something for everyone. The owners are available for questions, are friendly and accommodating. They keep the property fresh and upgraded whether by adding a new dock or a freshly painted room-it is fun to see the subtle, tasteful changes each year. The location is perfect! Westport affords easy access to out door fun- on the lake or in the mountains, yet a ferry ride or mountain drive can bring you to interesting cities of Burlington or Lake Placid. Local airports are convenient for people to fly in for a long weekend. Though there is so much to see and do in the area, this property is so delightful that once we arrive we tend not to leave. Vacationing at Lakeside is the highlight of our year."

  • We found a gem!

"We were a tad reluctant to venture out of our comfort zone but change is good. The Adirondacks are always home to our retreats but we kind of got in a rut and needed to break out. So, In our case change was fantastic! Our annual girls getaway, it really couldn't have been a better weekend. The cabin was perfect! Spacious, clean, very tastefully decorated. Don't fret about the long uphill drive as it was very well maintained. Can't wait to return. Thank you Tom and Doreen for making your visions a reality! Enjoyed everything."

  • Waterfront views and proximity to Lake Placid

"Great location near downtown Lake Placid. Condo floor plan was very nice and accommodating. As one of the reviews mentions, "The condo was comfortable, clean and well equipped with beautiful views of the lake". The lack of air conditioning was a factor, especially for the guys who are accustomed to A/C. There were fans provided, and it does cool down at night, but daytime can be hot/humid. The den is a very nice room with amazing views of the lake and Whiteface Mountain. The sofa bed in the den was very uncomfortable and unsleepable and we ended up buying a blow up mattress the next day. With the exception of the sofa sleeper, the condo is very nicely equipped, and we enjoyed our stay. Please note that the patio is shared by other condos near by and is not private, the deck however, is somewhat private and has incredible views of the lake and Whiteface Mountain. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck. There is public access to the lake near town, so my advice would be to bring or rent a kayak. LP is so beautiful, make sure that you take the time to explore by kayak. We enjoyed the Moose Club and Wednesday night music. Lisa G's was a great place for dinner. Delta Blues and Zig Zag were fun stops in town to try a craft beer. Taking the highway up to Whiteface Mountain is a must - incredible view at 4600 feet. We enjoyed our stay. I would love to visit again...there's more to do and see. Great vacation."

  • Beautiful condo in Keene

"My friends and I stayed here for a weekend of skiing and ice climbing in the Adirondacks and were blown away by how nice this place is. Its a great location right in Keene and the place itself is really nice. The pictures don't do it justice."
