  • Made for a Great Trip

"Stayed at this rental during the Northwood Hockey Invitational. Great option for Mom and Dad to come watch games without battling the hotel craziness. Perfect unit for a couple, close to everything including the rink (2.5 miles), but also far enough away to be removed from the crowds. Extremely comfortable unit, fully equipped and very well maintained. Close to grocery store. I arrived VERY late on a VERY cold night. Door unlocked easily and unit heated up in no time. Would highly recommend this as a more affordable and much nicer option to many of the local hotels to hockey parents."

  • Perfect for a family of 6!

"Where do we begin! We showed up to a very clean home with the breeze running through the house and a clear view to the lake. The house is even closer to the water than the pictures indicate, which we loved. The layout of the home is perfect for families with younger children, like ours. The bedroom setup with 2 BRs with 5 beds total upstairs, including bunk beds and the master downstairs on the main level worked really well for us. It was great to keep the sliding door to the master BR open at night to feel the breeze and hear the water. The large kitchen had everything we needed to cook and prep local food found at the Canton farmer's market (30 minutes away) on Tuesdays. Food can all be purchased in Canton at the market or the grocery store. We were also able to take advantage of the fire pit and cook Smores one night. The lake experience was second to none, with access to a fishing boat, kayaks, paddle boat, kid's paddle boat (which was awesome), canoe, floating dock and a sandpit that the girls played in for hours. The owners were very accommodating and transparent and took our girls fishing and tubing. Which was a very special treat that the girls loved! It did rain one day and we drove to a WILD center (about 1.5 hours away) in Tupper Lake and it was a perfect way to spend a rainy day with the girls. The property is a perfect change of pace for our family and we look forward to coming back next summer."

  • A Great Getaway!

"This Lakeside House is in a great location. It's near stores, restaurants--places you'd like to pick up things you may need. But, it is set back from the main road so it is quiet and peaceful and feels like you are out in the quiet country and you are lakeside! The house is beautiful and well kept. It's clean, neat and well stocked. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 upstairs with a bathroom and the master bedroom on the main floor with a master bath which is great for all ages. There is a small indoor sitting room off the master bedroom (which also has access from the living room) where you can sit if it's cold outside or you're not dressed for outside. The kitchen, living room and dining room are all open so when you're cooking you are still involved with family and friends. This area has a half bath. The kitchen has a lot of cabinets and very good appliances! Downstairs there is a large family room which has a great pool table, which I enjoyed, and a TV room area. There are large glass doors with screens down and upstairs so you can see outside all the time and open them to get fresh air. My favorite place is the upper outside deck! The deck overlooks Lake Luzerne which is a peaceful, quiet, beautiful lake. The deck overlooks trees as well as the lake and has a lovely view. A small public beach is nearby (within walking distance) but you do not hear noise from the beach because of the beautiful greenery. It is so relaxing and peaceful to sit on the deck! There is a small sandy beach on the property that you can board your row boat or kayak and take off for a peaceful cruise in a great area! This is truly a lovely house and in a great setting! I'm sure anyone would enjoy it, I did!!"

  • Comfortable quiet cabin in a beautiful location

"I spent a week here in July 2016 with my daughter shuttling her daily to Lake Placid for hockey camp - 20 minutes away. We loved the cabin - very comfortable and surprisingly well-stocked. A homey living room, wifi and cable, linens and a full kitchen made the place very livable. It's on a very quiet road right next to the Ausable River and a short drive/walk/bike ride to Keene for dinner and supplies. We look forward to staying here again. Some items to be aware of: - it's a cabin so don't expect a large luxury bathroom - it's upstate NY so don't expect air conditioning (though there is ample heat!) - it's remote so be prepared to pack your own garbage out - it's in a beautiful spot so be sad when it's time to leave"
