  • Wonderful Lake and Vermont Escape - House was beyond charming

"The house was fantastic, plenty of room, wonderful fire-pit. It was updated with modern amenities including an amazing shower/bathroom in the Master bedroom. The property was lovely to explore and the dock/lake area was perfect. The owners were very easy to work with and we'd love to stay again sometime. The dock/lake area even had screening put in on the floor of the lake, so that it was weed free for a very large swimming area. Thanks for a great stay! - David and Family"

  • Beautiful House, Beautiful View, Great Host!

"I cannot say enough about the Red House on Lake George. The house has a very cozy feel and really exemplifies luxury living. The view of the lake has to be one of the best views on Lake George. The interior of the house is spotless. This is a great place to stay, no matter the season. Thanks so much to our wonderful host, Marta - very responsive, thoughtful, and kind."

  • Great Fit for Us

"The house was neat and clean and provided all the necessities to support our Thanksgiving stay. My wife & I went there to meet our son, his wife and their 2 sons under 3. Easy walk into the village (~half a block) & beach. Across the street from the Catholic church. A great time was had by all."

  • Spectacular house

"The views are astounding. The house sits at the top of the mountain and has 360 degrees of gorgeous. The interior of the house is lovely, wide plank floors, beamed ceilings and a huge fireplace. Great decks to sit and enjoy the mountains. The kitchen is well equipped, all top of the line appliances and plenty of dishes and glassware. A few small criticisms. There are not really 6 bedrooms. The master has a king bed, is a huge room off by itself and has windows on 3 walls. But no blinds or curtains so be prepared to be up with the sun. I love that but others might not. There is a nice size queen bedroom, a small queen bedroom, each with an attached bath and a bunk room on the lower level. Then on the upper level there is a dorm room with 4 twin beds. I suppose the massage room is technically a bedroom but there is no bed. There are also sofas in each of the dens which can be slept on. The bathrooms don't have hair dryers, so bring your own. I never travel with one as they are generally supplied. The showers are awesome however you will have to be careful with water consumption. The road up is challenging. 4 wheel drive is essential for winter visits. We had an unusually warm week in February, the road was muddy and very slippery or icy and incredibly slippery. Plowed and passable but I was glad I chose to rent a 4 wheel SUV. You need to plan your groceries carefully, it's a long way down to any stores. The general store in Pawlet has a few essentials but it's a long drive to the nearest grocery stores. We had a magnificent visit. Hiked the woods, cooked great meals, played games and snuggled by the fire. Jen is a great person to rent from. She was really helpful. I can't thank her enough for providing us with this wondrous experience."
