  • Comfort in the Mountains

"This house is so enjoyable and so close to the trails! The beds were comfortable and there was a nice farm-sized table where we ate and talked. Our family spent a very relaxing stay here, hiking the trails and visiting Lake Placid. The house is just down the road from the Ausable Inn and the Noon Mark Diner, where we had delicious meals. We also had a very nice meal at the Baxter Mountain Tavern which is a short drive away. We enjoyed our visit to the mountains, and this house truly is a nice base camp for that!"

  • Perfectly located tranquil getaway

"If you're looking for a secluded and tranquil location just steps from Lake Champlain, yet within a short driving distance of numerous activities and places of interest, then this is your vacation spot. Deep in the woods, and right on the lake, you'll find this spacious and comfortable house with the most amazing porch and views. The house comfortably slept two adult couples - the kitchen was large and well-equipped, and the living room was inviting with a large stone fireplace (as another reviewer suggested, the pictures don't do this place justice). The house is private enough that you're unlikely to see neighbors unless you venture out in the canoe, then you can get a view of the other homes nearby. If you are looking for off-site activities, this location will also suit your needs. The town of Willsboro has several cute restaurants and shops and there are local hikes and places to kayak within a short distance. Essex is another lovely town just 20 minutes down the road and a place to access a ferry to take you across the lake to Vermont. There it is worth exploring Burlington and Shelburne, and their maple ice cream. On the New York side and heading west, Lake Placid and Saranac are within 45 minutes or so. The owner was a pleasure to work with and offered fantastic tips and recommendations. We hope to come back to this place again in the future!"

  • Peaceful setting

"This was exactly what we were hoping for. The house is clean, well maintained and it's situated on a quiet stretch of a creek that leads into Lake Champlain. We enjoyed kayaking and exploring the surrounding area. The kitchen and pantry are very well stocked and the bedrooms are each very comfortable. The owners are very responsive and great to deal with. It's a very relaxing place and we would love to go back soon."

  • We found a gem!

"We were a tad reluctant to venture out of our comfort zone but change is good. The Adirondacks are always home to our retreats but we kind of got in a rut and needed to break out. So, In our case change was fantastic! Our annual girls getaway, it really couldn't have been a better weekend. The cabin was perfect! Spacious, clean, very tastefully decorated. Don't fret about the long uphill drive as it was very well maintained. Can't wait to return. Thank you Tom and Doreen for making your visions a reality! Enjoyed everything."
