  • Amazing vacation rental!!!!

"What a great home in the perfect location! The pictures do this home no justice. The views where breath taking at night and during the day. The lake was beyond our expectations clean as can be and perfect for fishing and fun. We are definitely renting again next year this time for a week."

  • Great rental for the price

"My family and I, eleven of us in all, rented this house for 5 days in September. Upon arrival, we were pleased to find, that everything was in place, as explained to us. After a quick inspection of the house it was apparent to us that we would enjoy our stay here. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and offered ample sleeping space for our group. All rooms were equipped with window unit A/C which cooled this large house to a comfortable temperature. The common areas provided plenty of seating for meals, and just hanging around, including the screened in wrap around porch where we spent much of our time. Outside the house, there was a gas grill that we couldn't get to work, but we made due with a charcoal grill that we found in the shed. There is a nice size yard that is manicured to perfection, complete with flower beds and lush grass, this made our outdoor activities all the more pleasant. Included in the rental, was a kayak that is certainly a seaworthy craft, as we all enjoyed paddling out to one of the closer islands on the lake. The people of Huletts Landing were more than accommodating, and super friendly, despite the fact that we were obviously tourists, and clearly not from the area. Overall our stay here was absolutely amazing, however, there were some things I would've preferred different. I had hoped there would have been a better view of the lake from the house, there is actually no view of the lake at all, and the house is a few hundred yards from the beach. We were hoping to spend more time out on the lake and had planned to rent kayaks from the marina but the rental rates were outrageous. This left us with the one kayak included in the rental to share between eleven people. The price for the rental was more than reasonable, and we all agreed, we would definitely go again, only next time I think we would consider paying more for something closer to, or on the lake."

  • Wonderful house for children and the whole family!

"We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful and huge Camp David vacation retreat. We travelled with 3 young kids under the age of 5 years, and they were delighted with the sandpit and bunk beds in their room. There were also many toys, books and board games for them as well as a Wii, so they enjoyed playing together. The house is beautifully kept with a lovely kitchen. Sipping our morning coffee while sitting on the porch, was peaceful and relaxing. We loved the decor, which was beautiful and fit very well with the surroundings. The kids enjoyed counting all the 'bears' (themed decorations) throughout the house. The location in Bolton Landing worked well for our family. We went to Veteran's Memorial Beach and Park every morning with a couple of trips to Lake George Village. The grocery store, deli, icecream shop and restaurants at Bolton Landing were charming and more than adequate for our needs. Interaction with Maria and David was prompt and professional. The kids, especially enjoyed the welcome gift of chocolates when we arrived at the house. We look forward to coming here again next year! The house is really as beautiful and lovely as the pictures and reviews describe."

  • A beautiful house in a perfect location

"We were delighted with the cottage, which is a beautiful house thoughtfully equipped with pretty nearly anything that one could wish for (as well as an unusually well-stocked library). Vaughan was friendly and considerate throughout our stay, always ready with help and advice. Because we were only there for a week, and spent much of that time visiting family, we barely began to take advantage of all that the cottage and its environs have to offer. We have loved Sunset Lake for years, but have never had such an ideal situation for enjoying its peace and unspoiled beauty. We very much hope to be staying there again next summer!"
