  • Gorgeous cabin making for a perfect hideaway in the woods

"Rustic but cozy, basic but we'll equipped. PROS: fireplace, BBQ, proximity to hiking trails, fully equipped kitchen, supplies. CONS: close to road (albeit very quiet (however we stayed in November)), limited bathroom privacy,"

  • Pictures dont come close to doing justice!!

"Came to Birches Cottage with a group of 12 and holy cow we were floored. Upon arrival we couldnt get over how the photos do not come close to doing justice to Kevin's beautiful home in Lake Placid. 5 absolutely comfortable bedrooms and a nice sleeping space int he basement provided us unbelievable comfort for such a large group. The kitchen and living/dining room area on the first floor made our trip so fun as we could all pile into one place. Great fireplace, the beautiful porch... the ping pong! all of it made for a great time, not to forget the hot tub which was nice as well as a top notch Weber grill that held its own in sub 30 degree temperatures. This place is kept in tip top shape and Kevin made sure we didnt have a single issue the entire weekend. We will be back!"

  • Bolton Landing Rocks!!!!

"This second floor five room unit with a porch is ideal as a base to enjoy Bolton Landing. The unit is very comfortable with large rooms, a useful kitchen and central location. One can easily walk to numerous restaurants, shops and bars. If you want to eat-in, the grocery store is two blocks away....The public swimming beach is about one hundred yards away....Bolton Landing is 12 miles north of the Village of Lake George so it is peaceful by comparison and one can quietly enjoy the tranquility of the Lake.... the owners--Mike and Pat--are simply delightful and friendly folks who always ask what they can do to make our stay enjoyable. We found the entire experience both relaxing and tiring--lots of going out walking at night to restaurants for late night libations and music on the weekends....then a good night's sleep back in the unit--and it is a really good value for the price..."
