  • Felt like my parents cabin, very homey.

"We had a great time while we were here. The cottage was exactly what I expected. It reminded me of my parents cabin they had long ago. I especially liked that the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, and then some! The owner popped in on our 2nd night there to make sure everything was ok and to make sure we didn't need anything (he even offered to go out and buy a new toaster for us!). We enjoyed the fire pit, I really liked that it was close to the house and not down on the beach---much closer to the bathroom and the beer! LOL! All in all I would recommend this rental, for the price we paid I think it was a great deal. Thanks Steve!"

  • Relaxing Lake Retreat

"We had a wonderful week at this lovely cabin on Schroon Lake. The beautiful deck provided a lovely view for our morning coffee and evening happy hours. The kitchen was well stocked for family meals and the nearby restaurants provided a few nights out. We paddled the peaceful, pristine lake in the kayaks provided and the large yard gave us lots of space for yard games and for our dogs to run and play. Our family members ranging from 13 mos. to 91 years enjoyed every minute of our Adirondack vacation."

  • Quaint camp with an ideal location

"Located just outside of the Village of Ticonderoga, this little house offers a fantastic location for summer adventures. It's on the water with a dock and paddleboat. A marina is literally across the water, so during our stay we rented a boat, motored it to the dock, loaded up our provisions, and had a stellar day on the magnificent Lake George. A trailhead for a scenic hike can't be more than a mile away to the south, and you can get views of Lake George to the south or Ticonderoga to the north/east. The back porch is gigantic and is equipped with a nice gas grill. The house itself is a bit small, but completely adequate. Make note of the potable versus non-potable water (as an engineer, I was impressed at the filter/UV disinfection system they used). Downstairs bedroom access is via a steep ladder/stair. Thank you for your hospitality, Mary!"

  • Great spot for family vacation

"We rented Kenikee for a weeklong getaway for a 2 families with young kids (ages 2-7) and 2 sets of grandparents. We had a great time. It was our first time staying at Lake George, though we visited a few of its villages a few years ago. The lake itself is fantastic. If you can get out on a boat, the lake is just magnificent. My dad didn't want to leave and was talking about whether we could rent the place for two weeks next year or the year after. The house was great as well; our kids spent most of the week on the dock or in the kayaks or my dad's boat. Great swimming and wading area by the dock. We had a pretty major issue with our boat engine that warranted a repair and Snug Harbor marine folks (8 minutes up the road) had it back to us in 36 hours. The house was well appointed and has a good kitchen for cooking (with good kitchenware as well!). Great sitting space out by the lake. Incredible sunsets. Very close to Ticonderoga and an easy drive to many attractions. Lots to do, and close to Vermont as well. Really a great counterpoint to the busy spots on the southern part of the lake. You wouldn't know you're on the same lake as Lake George village, but you can still get to the tourist areas easily if you like. It was just what we wanted and we'd definitely stay again."
