  • Can't wait to return!!

"We had a great time on our vacation! Being met there by the owners added a really nice personal touch. The cabin was much larger than we had thought and was extremely comfortable. The convenience of being able to cook was great! The movie collection was great as well. It was nice to have so many options after the sun went down! The old radio in the corner was awesome!! I couldn't believe that it worked!!! The weather was warm and sunny which allowed us to spend a lot of time outside. We visited Hinckley State Park. It wasn't open, but it was beautiful. We also drove up to Eagle Bay and hiked to Cascade Falls and around Cascade Lake. In all, we hiked over 12 miles in one day!! We shared a lot of pictures with family when we returned. Now we're hoping to return at some point with a larger group. We have to wait until the new grandbaby arrives and is ready to travel:) Thanks so much for having us! We're really looking forward to visiting again!!"

  • Perfectly located tranquil getaway

"If you're looking for a secluded and tranquil location just steps from Lake Champlain, yet within a short driving distance of numerous activities and places of interest, then this is your vacation spot. Deep in the woods, and right on the lake, you'll find this spacious and comfortable house with the most amazing porch and views. The house comfortably slept two adult couples - the kitchen was large and well-equipped, and the living room was inviting with a large stone fireplace (as another reviewer suggested, the pictures don't do this place justice). The house is private enough that you're unlikely to see neighbors unless you venture out in the canoe, then you can get a view of the other homes nearby. If you are looking for off-site activities, this location will also suit your needs. The town of Willsboro has several cute restaurants and shops and there are local hikes and places to kayak within a short distance. Essex is another lovely town just 20 minutes down the road and a place to access a ferry to take you across the lake to Vermont. There it is worth exploring Burlington and Shelburne, and their maple ice cream. On the New York side and heading west, Lake Placid and Saranac are within 45 minutes or so. The owner was a pleasure to work with and offered fantastic tips and recommendations. We hope to come back to this place again in the future!"

  • A Great Getaway!

"This Lakeside House is in a great location. It's near stores, restaurants--places you'd like to pick up things you may need. But, it is set back from the main road so it is quiet and peaceful and feels like you are out in the quiet country and you are lakeside! The house is beautiful and well kept. It's clean, neat and well stocked. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 upstairs with a bathroom and the master bedroom on the main floor with a master bath which is great for all ages. There is a small indoor sitting room off the master bedroom (which also has access from the living room) where you can sit if it's cold outside or you're not dressed for outside. The kitchen, living room and dining room are all open so when you're cooking you are still involved with family and friends. This area has a half bath. The kitchen has a lot of cabinets and very good appliances! Downstairs there is a large family room which has a great pool table, which I enjoyed, and a TV room area. There are large glass doors with screens down and upstairs so you can see outside all the time and open them to get fresh air. My favorite place is the upper outside deck! The deck overlooks Lake Luzerne which is a peaceful, quiet, beautiful lake. The deck overlooks trees as well as the lake and has a lovely view. A small public beach is nearby (within walking distance) but you do not hear noise from the beach because of the beautiful greenery. It is so relaxing and peaceful to sit on the deck! There is a small sandy beach on the property that you can board your row boat or kayak and take off for a peaceful cruise in a great area! This is truly a lovely house and in a great setting! I'm sure anyone would enjoy it, I did!!"

  • Great stay - beautiful large home

"Nothing bad to say here. Right on the lake, spacious kitchen, dining room and living room. Only downside was the hot tub not being on the 1st floor deck but instead below. Trees block your view of the lake from the hot tub in that situation. Otherwise a 5 star rating on the house."
