Recent Schroon Lake reviews

"I spent 10 days at this cute cottage! It is located in the perfect spot, close to everything Schroon Lake has to offer and right on the water. Lots of comfortable beds. Space for a good size group. There are big picture windows in the LR overlooking the gorgeous lake. I love the screened porch, its the perfect spot to hang out day and night. At night I fell asleep listening to the lapping water and the loons calling. My dog was able to come with me, which was wonderful, he loved swimming in the lake. My family joined me on the weekends and spent time swimming, fishing and kayaking, they loved the cottage and location as well. Colleen is a gem to work with, she always gets right back to you with in hours. I highly recommend Witherbee's Carriage House Restaurant, Sticks & Stones Wood Fired Bistro & Bar (you can bring your dog and eat on the patio) and Flannagans Pub and Grill (great if you want to watch a game! We are hockey fans.) A great vacation was had by us all! Thank you!"

  • Beautiful little cottage on the lake

"Beautiful little cottage, only a few feet from the water. Perfect size for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 young teens). Clean and well-appointed, the cottage had everything we needed and owners were very nice and accessible if we had questions. Water is crystal clear and swimming and tubing is easily done from the dock, which is only a few feet from the cottage. Nice deck overlooking the water. Canoe and kayaks are available for exploring the lake and islands. The living room also provides a nice view of the lake thanks to large windows. Bolton Landing is 14 miles south and has a few shops and restaurants. Ticonoderoga is 15 minutes north and has the fort, some shops and a great BBQ place. You're far enough from Lake George Village to be out of the super-touristy, congested, area, but close enough to visit it when you want to. So no complaints and will definitely rent here again if we're ever back in this area."
