  • Perfect in every way!

"We stayed at Shore Crest with several families and truly couldn't have been happier! The house is immaculate, the furnishings upscale and the location ideal! We had a terrific time, had fires at night in the beautiful living room, cooked delicious meals in the wonderful kitchen and slept soundly in the excellent bedrooms. Everything is newly renovated...the bedrooms, floors, bathrooms including the apartment. It was just as promised! We parked and walked everywhere for our entire stay! There is a large hallway with hooks, lockers for all your ski/skate gear, laundry and plenty of towels as well as little things, like detergent, soap, paper towels, garbage bags etc. It was just delightful! If you are looking for an elegant, family friendly, clean, modern accommodations then stay here...although selfishly we don't want to let the secret out because we want to stay here again and again! The owners were delightful to work with and SO accommodating! We couldn't ask for a better vacation! We will be back! Thank you!!! p.s. the pictures don't do it justice, it is 100% more beautiful in person!!!! Trust me, I'm fussy...even one of our friends said "I walked on the floors barefoot...I never do that in hotel rooms"!"

  • Adirondack Heaven in Famous Lake Placid

"This is the place to be if you want to be immersed in the Adirondack experience! We had such a great time, whether hiking by the gorge, staring at White Face mountain with its incredible Fall colors, enjoying wonderful restaurants, or hanging out in this comfortable, relaxed home in high end Adirondack decor. This spacious home has all the modern conveniences while bringing the beauty of the Adirondacks inside. It was great to go out and it was great to come home too! To top it off, the beds were heavenly, just what we needed to feel refreshed before venturing out once again to the great outdoors. We can't wait to return to this very spot! Thank you for making it so welcoming and comfortable. It was perfect!!"

  • Breathtaking views!

"We stayed here for a weekend with extended family. The lcation was perfect. You felt completely secluded but were only 5-10 minute drive to downtown Lake Placid. The house itself was very beautiful. The outside was well done, with beautiful decks to enjoy the scenery. When you walk into the house, there is a very large foyer with over 10 coat hooks. We had 12 people and were able to put all of our coats and boots there without it being in the way. When you step through the front door you see straight back to that beautiful, amazing view out the back large picture window. The kitchen was very high end with an enormous island and a great built in griddle. Everything you would need to cook was there. The only thing I would recommend is to bring tupperware in case you have leftovers you want to bring home. Between the dining room table and the stools you could comfortably fit 14-15 people. The mainfloor was very well laid out. The heated floors in the main living areas was a bonus. The furniture was a bit tired looking in the family room except for that beautiful leather couch. The rooms were well appointed. There were several lighbulbs out, though, throughout the house. The shower curtain in the masterbath could use being replaced. The downstairs was not as nice at the upstairs but was fine. There is a pingpong table, a sofa, bunk room and the other bedroom. The downstairs bedroom has a curtain, no door, I think because the doorway is too large for a door. The bathroom for that queen room is down the hall. The bunk room had a very nice double sink bathroom right in the room. I would HIGHLY recommend this house. The location and proximity to Lake Placid can't be beat. The kitchen and gathering areas are very cozy and well laid out. And lastly, I would go back just for that amazing view alone. It was truly breathtaking!!"

  • A Great Retreat!!!

"Since our family is our most treasured gift, my husband and I decided to rent a home that would accommodate our small clan (6 adults and 5 children) as a way to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. This river side log cabin was the perfect choice. The house was immaculate, the setting breadth taking, and of course, the Schroon River was a delight for young and old alike. Glenda thought of everything...from lots of towels to forgotten tooth brushes and wood for the large outdoor fire pit. I think she even provided 7 warm sunny days for us because the weather was perfect (the week of July 2, 2016). We took day trips each day (Lake George, Fort William Henry, Ausable Chasm, Painted Pony Rodeo, Water Slide World, Garnet Mine Tour, and Loon Lake for swimming/boating for the children (aged 3,6,7,8,9). After each outing we returned to the cabin to relax on a tube in the river, fish, and enjoy roasted marsh mellows around a blazing fire. Our oldest grandson literally cried as we left. Thank you for making our 50th anniversary family celebration so memorable. Carole M."
