  • Adirondack Bliss

"Garnet Lake is aptly named for the gemstones once mined in this region of the Adirondacks. This gem of a lake offers solitude, natural beauty, and all of the activities associated with lake living....kayaking, swimming, fishing, or just chillin' by the fire pit. Our family vacation at Garnet Lake combined the creature comforts of a well-appointed lake house with the natural beauty that greets you every morning as you look out onto the lake and the surrounding mountains. The house has a very remote feel, but it is conveniently located near Gore Mountain, Lake George, and the shops and restaurants in North Creek. We just loved the house and the owners are very friendly to deal with."

  • Great stay - beautiful large home

"Nothing bad to say here. Right on the lake, spacious kitchen, dining room and living room. Only downside was the hot tub not being on the 1st floor deck but instead below. Trees block your view of the lake from the hot tub in that situation. Otherwise a 5 star rating on the house."

  • Everything you could wish for!

"My husband and I stayed here with a friend, our 2 dogs, and her dog. This is a simply wonderful place. It is very private with it's own large yard, beach area and kayaks! There is also a lovely deck with a table for eating and a fabulous outdoor jacuzzi. The kitchen is very well equipped. We ended up eating at home most nights as the view of the lake is the best in Lake Placid! It's also in a perfect location. Though it's very quiet and secluded, the second you climb the stairs to the sidewalk, you are in the middle of bustling downtown Lake Placid. Edi is also incredibly kind and helpful. Truly an idyllic experience. We hope to come back soon!"

  • Enjoyed our stay!

"Our family of five stayed for a weekend while going to the balloon festival. The location is very convenient! It was great to be right on the lake and have a dock, picnic table and hammock...very relaxing! The house was accurately described and clean. We would recommend staying here."
