  • Amazing family vacation

"I rarely do reviews, but I had such an amazing time I felt compelled to share. This cottage is small but very functional and enough space for 6 people. We had 4 adults and 2 children. Everything within the cottage is updated and thoughtfully placed. We were comfortable inside the cottage, but almost any time not sleeping or exploring the area was spent outdoors in the spacious deck, fire-pit by the water, or on the dock. Kayaks, paddle boat and row boats were available for use - all in excellent shape. We rented pontoon boats few of the days from Roy's Marina and were able to bring it down to the dock (be aware, it does take a decent amount of time to get it here though) for the day. Lake is gorgeous and the views from the deck/cottage/dock are priceless. Ed is a hands-on and helpful host with excellent communication before/during/after the trip. My favorite winery (not really a vineyard) was Domaine Leseurre - on Keuka lake, about 30min drive. A rather new place but I think it will become BIG. Fox Run had some good value-wines too."

  • Perfect house for Cooperstown Dreamspark

"Just checked out this morning and we couldn't have been more pleased! It's so close to the park...you don't have to worry about leaving an hour before games and a much added benefit that's probably overlooked, you are going to the park in the opposite direction of most everyone there! The line coming from Cooperstown to the field is a mile long most times of the day. You pull right out of the drive way, drive maybe 1 minute and you pull right into the park! It's close enough that you can run home in between games for a quick nap and snack or to run your kid to the house for a good, hot shower. If you have any siblings traveling with you, the pond will keep them entertained for hours on end and they especially like the free wifi lol The house is very neat and clean and all the renovations that are being done are top notch. There is a great outdoor area to have a bonfire at night and once done, the deck will be a much added feature! I'm a little jealous it wasn't done while we were there lol The backyard view is beautiful! The kitchen is fully stocked for all needs. The owner was so easy to contact and very communicative, it made our week at Cooperstown even more enjoyable!"

  • amazing!

"The property is beautiful! We stayed in the hilltop cabin, and the view from up there is gorgeous! The picture does not show it, but the back side of the cabin that faces the mountains/valley has several very large windows. The inside of the cabin was very clean and cozy, and much attention has been given to details. There is a fridge, stove, coffee pot, toaster oven, microwave and sink. The fire-pit outside the cabin was perfect! They had boxes of newspaper and kindling, and a large supply of logs. We roasted marshmellows while enjoying the stars and the view! The toilet and shower are attached to the cabin, and you walk outside the length of the cabin to get to them. This could be inconvenient if it was very cold or rainy, but I actually enjoyed the outdoor shower a lot! The owners are very friendly. The land has been in the family for decades, and there are two cabins and several campsites they make available for guests. I got the sense that they cared more about us enjoying the property than about making money. It was the prefect place to recover from a week of backpacking in the Adirondacks. I highly recommend it!"
